So, let’s start!
What is TweetDM exactly?
First of all, let’s talk about sales. Sales drive your business and successful selling depends on timely, organized communication. If you’re a business, agency or influencer on X, most of these key interactions happen right in your DMs. However, the default DMs interface isn’t built for this, it quickly gets messy, making it hard to keep track of conversations and spot valuable opportunities. That’s where TweetDM comes in.
TweetDM makes handling 𝕏 DMs easy for teams. Think of it as your team’s command center. It turns your inbox chaos into a clear, shared workflow. Most importantly, it helps you organize, automate and crush outreach with the help of a wide range of features specifically designed for this so your team can handle DMs faster and smarter.
Product Features
After connecting your X account, you can open the application on the website. Upon opening, your landing page will be your inbox, which is highlighted in the navigation on the left. Under your Inbox are the Pipeline, Leads and Campaigns tabs.
Inbox (productive)
The main inbox page is split into 3 sections ; your DM list on the left, the full conversation in the middle and a context panel on the right with the information of the account you are in talks with. This context panel gives you the option to give the conversation a status (no status, lost, cold, warm & closed), to assign the conversation to someone in your team and to add tags for organizing. Furthermore, there is the possibility to give the conversation a valuation and add notes. Next to this, you can filter the DM list on tags and status in order to quickly oversee which conversation needs attention, a follow-up or can be closed. Moreover, you are able to mark conversations done, unread or delete them.
Other than the landing page that shows you all of your messages, the inbox page also has four tabs of its own :
🔹Assigned to me (where you can see all conversations that are assigned to you), Unread (where you can see all unread DMs)
🔹No reply (where you can see all conversations that did not get a reply)
🔹Archived (where all conversations marked as ‘’done’’ will be placed)
As mentioned above, you can give conversations a status. Regardless of whether it has a status or not, it appears in the Pipeline.
Pipeline
The Pipeline gives you a visual overview of all your ongoing conversations, showcased as cards and grouped by status (No status, Warm, Cold, Closed & Lost). Here you also have the option to give the convo a value and add a tag.
On top, each status showcases their total valuation and the amount of conversations. But most importantly, it helps you see where each prospect sits in your sales funnel. You are able to quickly move and update their status instantly by dragging and dropping the cards. In addition you are able to sort this page by Last Message, Valuation, Name or manually.
However, to feed your Pipeline, you need leads.
Leads
TweetDM gives you several ways to find and collect leads. Upon opening the leads tab, you can see it is split into two sections. On the left side you can manage default lists and create your own lists and on the right side you can search and add leads to them.
By default, TweetDM added two system lists to the Leads tab : Contacted (which contains profiles across all linked accounts on your team you’ve sent a direct message to) and Mutual (which contains profiles across all linked accounts on your team you’ve engaged with). You can add queries and filter these lists based on Bio, Name, Username, Location, Followers, Following and Tweets.
As mentioned above, there is also the option to create lists yourself. Currently, in order to add leads to this list you can :
🔹Search TweetDM’s database (which contains 1.5B prospects),
🔹Upload a CSV
🔹Import from followers (all users who follow a selected account)
🔹Import from following (all users who a selected account follows)
🔹Upload plain text (with each line containing an ID or username)
🔹Import your tweet likes (all users who liked one of your selected posts)
🔹Import retweets (all users who retweeted a selected post)
Moreover, features that are coming soon to this tab are :
🔹Import quote tweets (all users who quoted a selected post)
🔹Import replies (all users who replied to a selected post)
Once your leads are collected and organized, it’s time to reach out. That's where Campaigns comes in.
Campaigns
The Campaigns tab lets you launch targeted DM sequences, set a schedule and handle outreach at scale using one or multiple accounts.
Upon opening the campaign tab, you can click the button to create a new campaign. You will be asked to pick who to target with your campaign by selecting prospects from lists to include and exclude. After selecting, you can configure your campaign. It starts off with sending your initial message. After writing your initial message you can add one or multiple follow-up steps, which are either durations to wait if there is no reply or another message. Lastly, you can finalize your schedule by selecting how many DMs per hour, on which days and during which time frames will be sent.
When the Campaign is finalized, a dashboard will appear where you can start your campaign. This dashboard contains multiple metrics including the scope of the campaign, the amount of contacted prospects, the amount of replies and the reply rate. All of the prospects who replied will also appear on the bottom of the dashboard. Next to this, there is a similar funnel like the Pipeline, which shows in which stage your Prospects are in. These stages are :
🔹Pending (not contacted yet)
🔹In sequence (currently being automated)
🔹Replied (prospects who replied)
🔹Unresponsive (prospects who didn’t respond)
🔹Failed (prospects whose automation failed)
🔹Cancelled (prospects manually canceled)
Personal vs Team features
You can use TweetDM solo or with a team. On your own, it’s a powerful inbox with search, tagging, filtering and automation. But in a team, some extra features that are explained above kick in :
All conversations are shared across the team
You can assign DMs to specific teammates
You can track who sent which messages
Everyone stays aligned without duplicating work
