I disagree mostly but I do think we need to be careful with detentions. I do think it makes a lot more sense to sending cartel and gang members to Gitmo than people from the other side of the world.
Second point is pure speculation
The only thing that undermines the separation of powers is the legislator trying to prevent a president from hiring who he wants or from completing an audit. Congress can appropriate money but the President is responsible for its allocation. No programs have been eliminated yet so no grounds here. Unless they specifically list the company getting the funds in an earmark, the president can choose to stop working with whoever want as long as the money goes towards the goal of the appropriation.
This point is a valid concern but needs a complete picture. Panama and Greenland are both strategic sea lanes that the Chinese have been exerting control over. On a more fundamental level with Panama, it was the largest project ever funded by the US and we lost over 30,000 people building it. Now they want to charge American ships 2-3x that of other countries while favoring China.
Another moot point, many non authoritarian countries have wealth funds.
Last point is absolutely correct. There are a bunch of people that don’t like what him or what he is doing. They illegally spied on his campaign, used Russian propaganda to open spurious investigations, tried to have his name removed from ballots, tried to destroy his business, open over 90 cases against him when he ran for reelection, and cheered on as he was almost assassinated not one but twice. Adam Schiff said on the floor he was going put Trumps children in prison. Chuck Schumer warned Trump they would come after him.
I spent the time to write that out because I can’t tell who is being disingenuous and who is genuinely concerned. There are plenty of things to be concerned about but there are a lot fewer things to worry about with Trump in office.
