very good sign that it feels hard. that means youβre being extremely discerning and know that the wrong hire could be catastrophic.
just know that it is hard, no matter what size the company is. itβs a long game - there will be people you meet now, that youβll actually hire in 2 years. if you spend time showing your work in wild, youβll likely attract some of these kinds of people because they can actually see what youβre building, and the quality

This weekend we hosted over 100 hackers in SF to build unique shopping experiences on our @shop Minis platformπποΈ
I was so nervous, but I had hope that after building together for 2 days our hackers would understand what @ShopifyEng is all about.
It turned out to be so much better than I imagined. I feel privileged that such incredible talent spent their weekend with us to spin up incredible projects and give us feedback. The energy and enthusiasm were unmatched.
