The best way to learn AI is to work at an AI startup. On August 15, we're inviting ambitious students to YC HQ to meet founders and engineers from 50+ YC companies. Roam the expo hall to meet founders (and collect swag), startups pitch you, interview onsite, and land your Summer 2027 internship – co-ops and more.

I realized that goal setting is the core RL loop of a startup. Set a two-week goal Hit the goal? → Reward signal. Reinforce what worked. Missed it? → Negative reward. Diagnose root cause, update strategy, try again.

We’re launching LV Apex Suite today, our second Apex Suite after AAV. Each new modality adds data on what’s shared, what’s different, and how to engineer production systems in an integrated way. That’s tied to a core view at @64xbio: Cell lines, reagents, and process aren't separate levers, they're interdependent parts of a single production system. If we want better productivity, quality, and scalability, we need to understand and engineer that system more holistically. That’s what we’re building toward with CellMap: data-rich experimental maps of production biology that we can learn from computationally, to guide the design of better cell lines and reagents. Biologics are next, and existing suites will keep expanding with additional tools. With this, we’re also growing our commercial and ops teams. If you’re excited about building next gen biomanufacturing tools, DM me. Incredibly proud of the team today for all the work behind this launch. Much more to come.
New product launch: Today we’re launching LV Apex Suite, a new product suite for lentiviral vector production. This marks 64x Bio’s expansion from AAV into LV — and another step in translating our CellMap-driven VectorSelect platform across new modalities. LV Apex Suite begins with a high yield engineered HEK293T suspension cell line for transient LV production, with stable systems and additional production-enabling technologies in development. More broadly, this launch reflects where 64x Bio is headed: expanding CellMap as a data foundation for production biology, and learning from those data computationally to iteratively guide development of better cell lines, reagents, and production systems for viral vectors — and soon, biologics. To learn more about LV Apex Suite, read our press release below and visit 64xbio.com/lvapexsuite. Press release: 64xbio.com/articles/64x-bio-…

context that is the way
If you assume the key to successfully deploying enterprise AI is model capability, you're thinking about it the wrong way. Most models are capable enough. The problem is the context that's missing - the exceptions nobody documents and the judgment calls that live in people's heads. Basically, the kind of knowledge that isn't in any dataset. The only way to capture it is through execution. The systems that do the work are the systems that learn the business.

The way to move faster is to move faster. Sometimes Boom is able to overcome supply chain bottlenecks simply by responding to opportunity faster than anyone else. We bought 2GW of power metal that was unexpectedly available the day after Christmas, while the competition was still hung over on eggnog. Today we bought 12,000lb of titanium alloy and a $700k vacuum oven, both normally take 1 year+ but we get right away because we cut deals supersonically.

i was at @ycombinator Paris Startup School on monday. great event, met lots of old and new faces, but the best part was @james406 main stage talk. he is the archetypal "pure" founder-builder, and it shows in PostHog. one of the most user-centric product ever made imo

Introducing web-scale /monitor. An always-on search that watches the web & pings you or your agent the moment something comes online. Before /monitor only worked for single pages or websites, but now you can use that power on the entire web. Available today.

yc is underrated especially for experienced founders my cofounder and i did yc after we’d already raised venture funding, gotten customers, and turned 30 it completely changed our company and made us better founders almost a year later, it still impacts how we build every day

Introducing Pulpie, models for cleaning the web. 70% of a typical HTML page is ads, navigation, and sidebars. Pulpie removes this noise and returns a clean document you can use in pre-training or as context. Previously, cleaning 1 billion pages with the best extractors cost $159,000. Pulpie brings that down to $7,900. A 20x decrease.

We just wrapped a massive Q2 at @WeAreLegora . We blew past our ARR goal and posted north of 50% QoQ growth for the second straight quarter this year. One rep closed more than $4M in new business. Eight reps closed more than $2M each. Average quota attainment across the team is the highest I've seen in my career. And we crossed 1,500 customers. But closing new business is the easy part to celebrate. What matters more is whether customers get real value and stay. So the number I'm proudest of: since we rolled out the Legora agentic OS a month ago, every usage metric has climbed. DAU/MAU, one of our core engagement measures, is 13 points higher for customers using the agent and well above 50% overall. The aOS is changing how legal work gets done, and the data backs it up. When retention and growth move together like this, you lean in. We've raised our full-year top-line forecast by nearly 30%. Buckling up for an epic second half. Thank you to the team and to our customers for betting on us.

Bloomy (@bloomylearning) is helping kids learn faster with AI. Starting with English, Math, and Writing for K-12. Their mastery learning platform meets every student where they are. Students receive standards-aligned instruction from a Socratic AI tutor, while teachers save time and spot misconceptions faster thanks to AI-enabled insights. In early pilots, Bloomy students grew ~2x faster than projected on their NWEA MAP assessment.

💥 New Product Launch 💥 After two years of development, @metalraise is launching Autopilot -- our automation platform that draws on proprietary intelligence to run the round process for founders. Our thesis is simple -- in the future, founders that are best positioned to raise will not run the round process themselves. Instead, they will use the right tools to automate in ways that create unique advantages. From research, round collateral and pipeline formation to building calendar density, Metal Autopilot brings precision via proprietary intelligence and speed via AI-driven automation.
