Your marketing deserves to be legendary!
Your brand and its story crave sharing from one customer to the next.
Think about the brands you admire most. Isn’t it because of how those brands make you feel? Isn’t it the way you flow through their delightful customer experience?
When your child graduates from high school, you will have already spent 93% of the time you will spend with them over the course of your life. Plan accordingly!
Who else has noticed this on @amazon delivery boxes? It is the little things that matter. The experience does not end when you ship the order. #morethanabox#cx#customerexperience.
6+ years ago, I began my research to help my son Sammy with baseball when he was 10. I was painfully aware of what I did not know. I stumbled upon @jaegersports and purchased the “Year Long Throwing Manual.” I have benefited from his wisdom ever since. Honored by his testimonial:
From IPO, to losing 75% market share 3 years later, to bankruptcy 8 years after that. Lessons on friction, customer motivation & technological disruption.

It is very difficult to argue that people's behavior has changed dramatically in the last two decades.
What major shifts in consumer behavior have you seen?
What have you done to stay ahead of your customer's changing behavior?
What things will never change?
“There are two kinds of people, those who do the work and those who take the credit. Try to be in the first group; there is less competition there.”

If only everyone followed Tom’s rules of Twitter engagement.
1. Add Value
2. Build people up
3. Always positive
4. Bring words of encouragement
5. Life is worth laughing at daily.
Make sure you take into account your customer’s perspective.
Just because you think something is cool, you might be sending the wrong message to your customers.
How did that happen?
#1 New Release for the baseball book I wrote with @baseballifer11, Tim Corbin, @colter_bostick and Keith Jackson (@ActionBaseball). It comes out on November 8th and we have hardly told anyone about it.

Today I turn 50. Living like never before in history. Grateful for home with family, but staying connected to amazing friends though technology. I’ll enjoy my day, and even tomorrow. Sad that many facing sorrow. Our choice - hope, connection & gratitude. Thank you all.
So incredibly proud of this young man.
Sammy, your discipline, amazing attitude, and grit will help you accomplish your dreams and goals. Keep pushing kid, there are no limits when you don’t accept them.
The one constant in life is change... we better get used to it!
The question to ask is “why” did we do it this way, not “what” we did. Most of the time it will be hard to track down the why.
Sammy and I wish we were headed to see many of our friends @ABCA1945 this year. Just stumbled across this photo of Sammy and @jaegersports from our first ABCA 3 years ago.
For those event organizers that say they have a hard time finding women speakers, how come @shoptalk has over 110 of them? #Shoptalk18 I am more than happy to introduce you to some wonderful ones.
I’m extremely excited to announce that I have committed to further my academic & baseball career at @Mid_Baseball. I want to thank my family, coaches, & teammates for helping me in my journey. Go Lakers!!!

Your Why is tied down to your deep internal beliefs.
Once you clarify and act on those your life can begin to transform.
Sadly most of us have put on layer and layer of masks that hide our authentic self and beliefs. Be the best you, that you can be.

It’s not every day that I come across a quote from my dad. It’s been 17 years since he passed and I still miss him every day.

Congratulations to @tomhouse@RockyCollis and the rest of th @TeamMSTRD team. Having seen what it can do with my son in the earliest stages of their beta and how far they have progressed this is going to be fun to watch.
Over a year ago I wrote a quick (but in depth) summary of @TeamMSTRD and their attempt to democratize high level sports coaching through AI applications
The company just announced a $3.75 million round
One of the investors in this round? @mcuban
AI + Sports = Mark Cuban
Why do I worry about data-driven decisions?
1. There are way too many metrics
2. All metrics are not created equal.
3. Some metrics tell you only about the past
4. Some metrics can give a false sense of causality
5. Some metrics can give a false sense of achievement

So awesome to see my son Sammy on @MLBNetwork#MLBTonight and have his first pitch of the off-season reviewed by Hall of Famer John Smoltz. ❤️ how they are extending love to youth players.

- Katherine MacKenett
Love seeing this. Sammy my 13 year old son interviewing @xanbarksdale for his @PlayBallKidInc podcast.
I think this is such a great way for him to develop his communication skills while learning so much more about his baseball passion.

Be careful who you choose in your life. Are you walking with a “guru” or a “mentor”?
This is something @baseballifer11 and I have been discussing lately.
Data is everywhere. It is coming at increasing volumes, speed, & variety of formats. Data by itself does not solve problems. You must understand the context of the story the data is trying to tell us.
Data collection & reporting is the easy part. What’s next is the challenge.
