In my only mildly educated opinion, it's probably fine in reasonable amounts. The problem is going to be the user overdoses and poisons themselves with too much salt. The emu has done at least a few videos on what happens with too much (or little) sodium. If I recall correctly, fluid builds up on the brain, potentially leading to a vessel rupturing.
