There's a special place in my heart for BTC(+ ordinals), ETH, SOL, XMR, MILADY, MOG, PEPE for a whole range of different reasons that will just never leave.
Easy to assume on this platform that because we might critique things at times we don't like them or see their value, but the picture is generally bigger than can be splashed out in the limited bandwidth of sporadic tweets.
Sometimes, we critique things because we care a lot about them and want to see them succeed.
XMR wins money so far.
BTC wins SOV so far.
ETH wins smart contract experiments so far.
SOL wins low barrier access so far.
The others are culture.
I don't own all these and I don't care. They've all been part of my journey at some point over the last few years & have added value to my life. I'm grateful for that, and want them to succeed.
Albeit not at the expense of the the underlying goals that are needed for the freedom to transact & to free ourselves from the increasing threat of concentrated, centralized control structures. So I always remain open to reassess. Things change, we have to stay open.
- P2P electronic digital cash
- Smart contracts that enable the potential to coordinate, transact P2P & replace centralized governments
- Anonymity & Privacy by default
These are the top priorities but culture, art, connection, inspiring creators & creativity, these are all important elements of whatever comes next too.
You may disagree, but this is me.
