Day 16: Getting the next generation appointment scheduling software tool ready for launch.
Today, I made decent progress on Calendaty, solved some bugs, improved security, and more.
Progress:
- Solved the Google Sheets bug I found yesterday (took about 3 hrs)
- Solved the on-install bug I found yesterday (took about 1 hr)
- Set a default data for the services & categories in the on-install (took about 30m)
- Found a bug in which I could make multiple installations on the same sheet, which will cause too much trouble in the back-end (took about 1.5 hrs of testing)
- Went through the booking form security and took note of all security problems (took about 2 hrs)
- Finished 85% of the new back-end, GitHub, & files structure to make Calendaty better, more secure, & faster (took about 6 hrs)
- Found 1 new bug in the Google sheet (took about 2 hrs of testing)
- Made the booking form more stable (took about 3 hrs)
- Made the Google sheet experience better & more stable (took about 1 hr)
- Finished all on-install crucial tasks for launch (been working on it for around 2 days now)
- Finished all Google Sheets crucial tasks for launch, except for the new bug I found Today (been working on it for about 3 days now)
- Tested the installation process to make sure it works & is stable (took about 1.5 hrs)
- Tested the Google Sheet and made sure everything works and the user experience is good (took about 2 hrs)
Tomorrow I will:
- Finish the rest of the new files, project structure
- Solve the bug I found in Google Sheets
- Try and solve as many problems as possible that I found in the booking form's security
- Solve the multiple installation bug I found Today
- If there is some time left, I will go through the rest of the project's security to make sure everything is secured
- I will also try to work on improving error handling
