>realize kids are a status symbol you can't have

>your company closes, and you lose work
>parents bail you out because no savings (doordash)
>date off and on - some connections
>people just date for housing or clout
>get another job
>gonna make it THIS TIME

>pandemic happens and everyone leaves
>get stuck inside your studio
>mask up, follow the rules, and work from home
>relationship ends by spending actual time with partner
>friends flee to the burbs to start families
>don't want to change your lifestyle
>view leaving the city as defeatist
>become dependent on delivery apps
>make sourdough ironically, then unironically
>start going to protests and the current things
>riots and crime show up
>start to feel uncomfortable and unsafe
>get chased down the street by a crackhead
>start to feel resentful you are barely making ends meet
>biological clock starts ticking hard
>post-pandemic things cool down
>ridin with Biden
>OK finally can get back to normal
>costs explode again due to inflation
>you're pushing 40 now
>start a Substack about urban authenticity
>12 subscribers, 3 are bots
>morning $10 coffee spikes your anxiety
>start getting into houseplants
>biological clock is now air raid siren
>barely can afford rent
>your ex from 2010s just bought a house in the burbs
