I used to think the highest-leverage way humans could contribute to AGI was generating 'imitation learning data' (value created for the world / time spent).
I was wrong.
The real leverage is now building RL environments + guiding agent trajectories.
..ultimately shaping how systems learn from experience in real-world contexts.
While both imitation & RL depend on expert humans, with RL the improvement in AGI per unit of human intelligence used, is far, far greater.

July 16th, Opendoor Co-Founders Keith Rabois (@rabois) & Eric Wu (@ericwu01) stepped in.
The stock had risen from ~$0.50/share → ~$1.30/share with the help of Eric Jackson (@ericjackson) & the $OPEN Army
They realized it would have been easier (& cheaper) to buy out the company outright if they had acted earlier, but moved forward despite the higher valuation.
The $OPEN Army ultimately created a cult-like movement of retail investors who believed in the company’s potential.
They decided to leverage that momentum to recruit talent, working with top executive recruiter Paul Daversa.
They gave Paul specific criteria for a stellar CEO hire (five non-negotiable qualities).
The search led to Kaz Nejatian (@nejatian), who officially started as CEO on Monday, September 15th.
