A handful of people are using the Bitcoin blockchain to store arbitrary data like JPEGs. This is a misuse of the protocol which is intended to be a financial network. BitTorrent is far better suited for distribution and storage of data deemed sufficiently important.
I don’t understand how the BitTorrent protocol maps into the Bitcoin protocol with his explanation. Too abstract for me.

Today I stepped down as a mod on r/bitcoin.
I haven't been active on Reddit for years, and will be even less active with the recent API changes.
I may have been the only person to mod both r/bitcoin and r/btc (not at the same time). 😂
