When passersby questioned why such young children were detained, the army told the to stop filming. We set up an oven in the heart of destruction, not just to provide food, but to bring a sense of comforting warmth and hope to those who have lost so much. As many of you know, the upper north of Gaza has been severely devastated, with an acute shortage of basic necessities. While our primary focus right now remains on fulfilling the overwhelming water needs, today we baked and distributed 2,000 loaves of bread to 100 families. This initiative will continue in the coming days to provide sustenance to those with a lack of the most basic of needs. Dragging his body on a wheelchair across scorched earth, Ibrahim Abdul Dayem, a double amputee, reaches the al-Sudaniyya area where flour trucks trickle in through the Israeli occupation-controlled Zikim checkpoint. “Flour with blood,” he says. “If I don’t get food today, I’ll die of starvation.” Since March 2nd, 2025, the Israeli occupation's total blockade on Gaza has pushed the US-Israeli engineered famine to catastrophic levels. Now they roam hospital wards trying to lift the spirits of children injured by Israeli airstrikes. With red noses and oversized shoes, they search for smiles within seas of wounded and sick children. ❗️With a colostomy bag sticking out of his abdomen and his face covered in flour, a Palestinian man risked his life to grab a single bag of flour from under Israeli occupation gunfire surrounding aid trucks at the Zikim crossing in Al-Sudaniyya. Ill, frail, and visibly desperate, he shouted into the crowd, “We’re killing ourselves because our children are starving… Who are we appealing to?” His medical condition didn’t spare him from the brutality of hunger or the danger of being targeted while searching for food. Yesterday alone, 65 Palestinians were killed and 511 injured while trying to reach aid. Hospitals in Gaza have now recorded 1,516 deaths and over 10,067 injuries at aid sites. Meanwhile, five adults died from starvation and malnutrition in the same time span, bringing that total to 180, including 93 children. In Ramallah, a Palestinian woman stood frozen as bulldozers tore through her home, reducing years of memories into rubble. 🚨BREAKING | The Israeli occupation’s Be’er Sheva Court held a session this morning, Thursday, October 16, 2025, to extend the captivity of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, 52, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza. He appeared via video conference as the court renewed his 'detention' for six additional months under the so-called “Unlawful Combatant Law.” His lawyer from Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights @AlMezanCenter objected, stressing that no charges or evidence have been presented against him, making his detention illegal and politically motivated. Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya was abducted by Israeli occupation forces on December 27, 2024, while performing his medical duties at the hospital. He was denied access to a lawyer for 47 days, during which he was subjected to severe torture and ill-treatment, and remains held in Ofer Prison under harsh and degrading conditions. Shocking footage leaked by American contractors inside a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation "aid site" shows in complete detail the scale of murder being committed at those points. The contractors released this internal information and footage to the Associated Press to expose how GHF, its logistics subcontractor Safe Reach Solutions, the security company UG Solutions, and the Israeli occupation army are all complicit in the murder of innocent starving Palestinians. According to the latest numbers from June 29th, since the establishment of these so-called “death traps,” the U.S.-Israeli aid centers, on May 27, 2025, Israeli occupation forces have killed 580 Palestinians, injured 4,216, and 39 remain missing while attempting to access food.

Baby food is now being rationed and babies are going to start gradually dying day after day. Everyone in North Gaza deserves a mental health boost, and today’s modest festival in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood brought just that. From the young to the elderly, smiles lit up every face as, for a brief moment, the harsh realities around them faded away. We had clowns, costumes, face paint, music, dancing, prizes, contests; definitely a day to remember. While, we are usually in al-Zaytoun to distribute food and water, today was special. Defying the relentless sounds of Israeli drones and nearby bombardment, we turned up the volume and the sad faces upside down, drowning the atmosphere of the Israeli aggression with pure Palestinian resilience. Around 150 people joined our celebration of life today and we hope to return once more next week with something new. The Israeli occupation’s Shin Bet has been pressuring prominent Palestinian families, including the Bakr, Dughmush, and Abu Hasira clans, to cooperate with its operations in Gaza. Community elders were reportedly asked to: Form local armed groups, manage and police aid distribution, fight Hamas, and pass intelligence to Israel. Sources at Saudi newspaper Asharq al-Awsat say that the aim is to split Gaza into clan-controlled regions, preventing a unified Palestinian leadership or the establishment of a future Palestinian state. The brother of martyred journalist Anas Al-Sharif revealed in an interview with Al Jazeera Mubasher that four days before his assassination, Anas was offered a “tempting” deal, one he firmly rejected. The offer was to stop his coverage from Gaza in exchange for leaving Gaza. Anas refused outright, choosing instead to continue reporting the truth until his final breath, a decision that ultimately cost him his life at the hands of the Israeli Occupation Forces who have killed hundreds of journalists in Gaza for the same reason. Muhammad Yaqoub, a Civil Defense firefighter and rescue worker, lost his sister after she suffered complete kidney failure waiting for a medical evacuation at Nasser Hospital. Despite his desperate pleas, the Israeli occupation’s ongoing blockade prevented her medical evacuation, trapping her inside Gaza without treatment. Nooh Al-Shaghnobi, a Palestinian Civil Defense worker in Gaza, didn’t hesitate when asked if he would risk his life again to save someone under the rubble. In the now-viral rescue at Dar al-Arqam School, he and his team stayed with a man trapped after an Israeli airstrike, despite being warned a second missile was on the way. “Since the beginning of the war, thousands of situations like this have happened,” he said, “but no one filmed them.” Nooh says he didn’t expect to come out alive that day, but as long as people need them, they will continue risking everything. We posted about Osama Al-Raqab multiple times in the past few months and he was evacuated from Gaza on June 10, 2025, after months of starvation left him severely malnourished and weighing just 9 kilograms. At the time, he was clinging to life at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, suffering from anemia, weakness, and exhaustion due to the Israeli occupation’s total blockade. His condition was so terrible that doctors described it as one of the worst they had seen. But in less than two months, Osama made an incredible recovery. The photo on the left was taken on July 23, 2025, in Italy, where he is now receiving proper food, medicine, and care. Osama’s healing is proof of what Gaza could become, if only its people were allowed to live, eat, and be treated.
