Just got back in the car at Bunnings and a lady come up to the car. Taps on the boot lid, so I put the window down. "You know it's illegal to leave a dog in the car on a hot day?" "It's not, actually", I say. "I have Dog Mode..." Blank look from the lady. "Oh? What's that?" So after explaining, she says, "Oh, that's marvelous - sorry for the intrusion. What a lovely dog..." πŸ˜‚ Score one for Tesla Dog Mode. Put her in her place.

Shame on you, @60Mins Australia. What a pathetic effort... Firstly, they drag out an old NYT article from years ago that is very obviously a hit piece on Elon Musk. Secondly, there is no attempt to give an update as to the progress of AutoPilot or FSD since the time of this report. Finally, at the end, they promote their presence on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, deliberately avoiding to mention they have an account here on X. The bias, is astounding, to say the least. 🚨DOG MODE causes havoc in Supermarket Car Park. Again... Got back to the car after I did some shopping, to be greeted by half a dozen concerned citizens. "Hey guys, what's up?", I say. "Oh, sorry mate, the cops and the council have been called - but that was before we noticed the Dog Mode display on the screen in your car", said an old dude. Then two more lads turned up looking like they wanted a piece of me. And the old dude steps up saying, "Relax, it's fine, it's electric, it's a Tesla, the air con is on and it's 21 inside". One of the young lads put his hand through the open window to check, and just huffed, turned, and walked away, without a word. I chatted with the others for while, who all thought it was a pretty cool feature. And I thanked them for their concern, and that it was very much appreciated. Haven't heard from the cops or the council yet, but I'm sure my rego was noted, so we'll see...πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Please give both sides of the story. There is in fact real risk with SpaceX's proposal. A nine fold increase in "Out-of-bounds-emissions" is not insignificant at all. β€œHere, SpaceX has not shown good cause to grant its Waiver Request, as its proposed ninefold increase to the allowable SCS OOBE PFD limit would cause unacceptable harmful interference to incumbent terrestrial mobile operations,” AT&T said. Meanwhile, Verizon told the FCC: β€œSpaceX’s proposal would undermine the Commission’s core goal of protecting incumbent terrestrial licensee operations from SCS satellite operations in adjacent bands by subjecting them to harmful interference.” Don't get me wrong, I applaud SpaceX's Starlink, I have one myself, but their D2D (direct to device) mobile phone service is being retrofitted to satellites that were not intended for the purpose and have definite shortcomings. AT&T and Verizon have partnered with AST Spacemobile who have developed D2D technology from the ground up, so there is no interference concern. I'm sure the FCC will make the right decision, but there's an increasing likelihood that Starlink will have to operate a subpar service to stay within the rules.

🌟To the women of X - we support you! It was recently brought to my attention AGAIN, by my close and dear friend, @OpenskiesX , that... "the narcissistic male personna is alive and well on X". I find this extremely troubling and abhorrent, and I find myself compelled to express my concern and call for other like-minded people to propagate my thoughts in the hope of quashing this trend. In my 13 years here on Twitter/X, I have seen this traite worsening, and it's unequivocally and completely unacceptable behaviour. Women in particular are targeted either because of their looks, or simply because they are women, and are probably thought to be soft targets for harassment. Whilst there are some strong female personas here who are quite capable of defending themselves, there are many who find it terribly upsetting. I all too often find myself coming to the aid of women subjected to this disgusting behaviour that is perpetrated by weak, pathetic cowards, who would not dare to make such rude, lewd and down right nasty comments direct to a person's face. What this boils down to is simply RESPECT and COMMON DECENCY. I don't think it's too much to expect respect from all users on this platform. So I ask my followers to rise to this challenge and relegate these cowards impotent. Expose them for the scum that they are. To the women on X who are affected by this atrocious behaviour (I'm sure there are many of you), know that you will always have my support and that of the majority of men here on X, and don't let these idiots win by making you feel uncomfortable or threatened. Or worse, to stop posting and replying at all. Use the tools that X provide to protect yourself if necessary and call for help if you need. X is already dominated by males and we need far more female voices here, not fewer, to balance the gender bias. I've always found women to offer an extraordinary range of valuable insights. To put it crudely, their brains are wired different and it is so important to understand and embrace this difference, so we all may grow and learn to become better versions of ourselves. Sorry for the rant, but sometimes things just need to be said.

Just look at what the markets have done in the time $TSLA has languished sub $200. Nothing wrong with exiting when the price is languishing and reentering later when it recovers. I don't care if I don't reenter at the bottom, since Tesla will eventually become the largest company on the planet.

A great thread from Amy @SF___Tahoe, once again. Outlining Tesla's strengths in manufacturing and overall production and sales strategies.
Tesla is managing towards the end goal of what S3XY pricing will be once Highland is released. 🧡 Tesla pricing strategy considers the following components: πŸ”ΊCLEAR OUT PARTS INVENTORY (specifically inventory on parts that will no longer be needed down to 0. Remember Tesla is moving to warehousing rather than just in time parts delivery) in advance of Highland 3 and with other production/design innovations like the new electric powertrain moving into production (note the Hairpin motor of the cheaper powertrain already appeared on Paperwork Tesla filed with the government in Germany) πŸ”ΊTESLA ALWAYS PASSES ON LOWER COSTS TO THE CUSTOMER: A few known COGs improvements include more productions with Dual Castings. A Dual Castings EV has fewer parts and steps & costs less to produce, in less time. Tesla has more structural pack battery deals in place (CATL Shanghai, BYD Berlin, 4680 US) allowing more dual castings. Another known COG improvement: The new electric powertrain is also cheaper. Also: Highland Model 3 will be significantly cheaper to produce. Tesla continuously removes steps and drives down costs. Also raw material prices coming down as Covid-induced inflation falls off. Tesla indicated plans to renegotiate many supply deals this summer for lower costs. Higher volumes also offers scale discounts. Tesla always passes on cost improvements to consumers. πŸ”Ί MODEL 3 HIGHLAND APPEARS IMMINENT. Tesla Shanghai laying off battery pack assembly workers from 1 of 3 assembly lines. Note CATL will be supplying assembled structural packs (announced by CATL, but not Tesla). CATL is a Tesla supplier on the impact report. Chinese media announced the CATL M3P structural packs will be used in the Model 3 Highland out of Shanghai, and then maybe the Model Y. πŸ”Ί TESLA MANAGING TO END GOAL OF S3XY PRICING WITH HIGHLAND MODEL 3. All the prices in a manufacturers product line up need to make sense together, IE a Model 3 can’t be more expensive than a Model Y (even though it has cost more to produce) and similarly a Model Y can’t be 20K more than a Model 3 unless it offers 20K more in value. The Highland will cost less to produce and is likely planned at a very attractive price point, which will impact the overall lineup. πŸ”ΊLOGISTICS MANAGEMENT. Tesla is flattening the delivery wave. Small price cuts can sell more vehicles local and therefore reduce Tesla’s delivery costs and ease logistics. Tesla said small price cuts generate a high volume of orders. And small price raises also create more orders (FOMO of having missed the lowest price). ZOOM OUT! Some may misinterpret price moves as a β€˜DEMAND ISSUE’. Patently FALSE after Tesla’s record quarterβ€”with Model Y likely remaining the World’s Best Selling Vehicle for the first half of the 2023.

I don't think it's as dramatic as all that. The regulators simply need to look at the data, verify the data is valid, then put down their legal pens, and get onboard. They may require Tesla to focus on some areas of concern for them. But ultimately, if they can't disprove the data, that clearly shows safety is indeed higher with autonomy, than without, they have a moral obligation to approve it.
