I may have to switch away from Grammarly. It just told me to change "old man" to "experienced person" or "older individual." As an author, I think this is an overreach of a program that should be focused on grammar, not content.

I am slowly learning to accept reviews that criticize my apocalyptic novel for the liberties I took with science. I need to remind myself that: - They don't know I have a Ph.D. in Earth Science and was a professor at Stanford. - It's easy to assume I didn't discuss the details with specialists. - I can't expect them to see how cutting-edge science/engineering will evolve over the next few years.

Thank you all for bringing this to life. I finalized the covers for this mosaic, but more art will come (in time). Before I'm done, please give me some direction. - Is there a better title than "INDIE AUTHORS"? - Does it need a subtitle? - Should my watermark be less noticeable? - Is there anything I'm missing?
We're getting close. Thank you to all the amazing indie authors who have already offered their beautiful covers. I wish I could include everyone's covers. I added more rows and columns so I could fit more in. There will be other collages, so yours will not be forgotten.

People rarely understand that chronically ill people pay for doing anything. This post is for awareness, NOT sympathy. Yesterday I - Talked with strangers in public - Carpooled 1 hr - Hid my pain, racing heart, weakness, brain fog - Took extra meds to get through it Last night I - I writhed in pain - Threw up - Slept little - Couldn't slow my heart - Couldn't think Today I - Hurt (heart, skin, head, joints, muscles, eyes, ...) - Struggle to eat - Am exhausted - Struggle using legs - Can't think/write The aftermath will diminish over several days. Yesterday, I hid my symptoms because the event was about other amazing people & I didn't want to distract from their awesomeness. They call them "invisible illnesses" because people don't see them during or after.

Please continue buying books on Amazon. It is the bread and butter of indie authors. Most of us can't get into book stores. I earn more with exclusives at Amazon/Audible than when I publish on the biggest of the others.
I have been seeing posts imploring people not to buy books from Amazon. I get it, it’s the Evil Empire. But please don’t take it out on us Indie authors. It’s the biggest platform and we need all the exposure we can get. Yes, A gets a cut but you are supporting Indies. 😀
