People rarely understand that chronically ill people pay for doing anything. This post is for awareness, NOT sympathy.
Yesterday I
- Talked with strangers in public
- Carpooled 1 hr
- Hid my pain, racing heart, weakness, brain fog
- Took extra meds to get through it
Last night I
- I writhed in pain
- Threw up
- Slept little
- Couldn't slow my heart
- Couldn't think
Today I
- Hurt (heart, skin, head, joints, muscles, eyes, ...)
- Struggle to eat
- Am exhausted
- Struggle using legs
- Can't think/write
The aftermath will diminish over several days.
Yesterday, I hid my symptoms because the event was about other amazing people & I didn't want to distract from their awesomeness.
They call them "invisible illnesses" because people don't see them during or after.
