I’m excited to announce that @launchcaster has been acquired by @OrangeDAOxyz!
We launched Launchcaster two years ago because we didn’t have a great place to share and discover crypto projects with a community that cared. Since then, our side project has evolved into a public good, fostering thousands of launches and attracting over 15,000 crypto builders.
We wanted to find a long-term home for Launchcaster where it could grow and continue as a public good for crypto builders without needing to turn into some short-term speculative experiment. Just as YC runs Hacker News and Hyper runs Product Hunt, Orange DAO running Launchcaster is a perfect fit!

I've been on @farcaster_xyz since 2022, and this feels like peak execution, determination, and excitement.
If ever there was a time to join and become active, it is now.
The current plan
1. Increase daily active users on Farcaster.
2. More daily activer users benefit: a) creators (larger potential audience) and developers (larger potential TAM of funded wallets).
3. Super joining Warpcast is increasing our investment in user growth— Woj is a Farcaster-ecosystem builder with a proven track record.
4. Base integrating Farcaster into Coinbase Wallet gives developers access to millions of pre-existing users (and funded wallets!)
5. Base bringing a large existing user base to Farcaster means Warpcast will lose market share. This is a good thing and benefits the protocol / increases decentralization.
6. In addition to product-led growth experiments, we're expanding outbound messaging (e.g., our recent increase in activity on X/Twitter).

Over the past 4 years, i helped start 5 companies as a sort of silent founder / founding advisor. Some where my ideas and others i helped setup the founding team and product. I never set out to do this. Just naturally happened from trying to be helpful.
All of them are still alive today, venture-backed and making money! Long way from bailing hay.

Today we’re announcing the full cohort for CSX Spring 2024 in London
Our Crypto Startup Accelerator (CSX) Spring 2024 program kicks off this week, with the founders of 25 promising early-stage startups gathered in London. Over 10 weeks, they’ll learn from each other and receive guidance and resources from the @a16zcrypto team, speeding up their path to product-market fit and setting them up for long-term growth and success.
The CSX Spring 2024 participants beat out a very competitive field to get here. We received applications from across the world, and the cohort includes founders from eight different countries: Israel, Japan, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The founders of these 25 companies have an ambitious vision paired with the drive and talent to advance core sectors of the crypto ecosystem, including infrastructure, consumer apps, DeFi, payments, games, dev tools, and DePIN.
