You can agree, disagree or ignore them
Everything anyone ever says is subjective with the exception of judges, legislators and institutional representatives (hence the expression "opinions my own")

Type designers mapped and drew different glyphs for each 2+ letter combination that would look weird
For example, "ffi" and "ffl"
This means that, back when each letter was made of an individual type block made of metal, they actually made special type blocks which contained all the letters in the ligature.

It depends on individual circumstance!
If
- you have financial runway
- know what you're doing
- have a reasonable expectation of finding PMF
go for it. Being a 2nd-time founder doesn't hurt.
In ALL other scenarios, small bets are the way to go
