Finally found some time to deploy the RAG + Embedding alum database I have been tinkering on for the past few weeks. With a few words, you can discover thousands of Penn alumni to reach out to. Anyone with an email ending in upenn.edu will be able to add themselves.

Spent the last week building a new alumni database inspired by Sage from @_buildspace
TLDR: Penn students rely on alumni networking tools but current options (MyPenn and LinkedIn) have limitations. A new platform is being developed that uses vector embeddings to enable natural language search of alumni profiles. The system automatically updates from LinkedIn, requires minimal alumni effort, and provides more relevant matches than traditional search methods.
