Solana devs moving to @flow_blockchain are in for a surprise. Cadence feels familiar — yet it flips a few of your mental models from Rust & Anchor upside down. Here’s what changes when you go from #[account] structs to Cadence’s resource-oriented world 🧵

Another win in my bag. I just won the 1st prize in Forte Hacks on @flow_blockchain. Now, this is not just another win, its the starting of something big. A huge shoutout to the flow team and all the people who have supported me, listened to me yapping about my project and endured my bullish ambitions. This is still the beginning of my journey a lot more is yet to come.

1/ Every blockchain fakes randomness. @flow_blockchain built it into the protocol. Most chains rely on external oracles to generate random numbers. That adds cost, latency, and trust assumptions. Flow quietly solved this. And it changes everything.

Flowsure now works inside Telegram. No dashboard. No extra steps. Just open, connect your wallet, and schedule your transfers — right there. Everything syncs automatically with your main Flowsure dashboard. Same reliability. Same automation. Less effort. Built on @flow_blockchain . For those who prefer things that just work.

🧵 @Aptos devs moving into @flow_blockchain (Cadence) be like... 1/ You already survived the Move syntax. You think you’ve seen it all — linear types, resource ownership, borrow checking. Then Flow devs say, “Yeah, Cadence is resource-oriented too.” You smile. Until you open your first .cdc file.

On my pursuit to learn @flow_blockchain more deeply, here’s what actually blew my mind 🧵 Flow doesn’t even need L2s… like what?? Every other chain is stacking rollups and sidechains to scale. Flow just said “nah, I’ll scale inside myself.” It splits jobs across node types (consensus, execution, verification), so everything runs in parallel. One shared state. No bridges. No fragmentation.

I got to see the amazing things that people are building and collaborating on X and that lit a spark in me, and I thought I can do this too. From there my journey began of building in public and sharing my journey on X. I just got 200 members with me for now, but I am happy that I got to share my journey with these many people. I was deep into an open source build today when the idea of monetising it crossed my mind. It made me reflect on when that switch should happen. Do you wait for usage, consistent feedback, or a clear pain point the community keeps repeating? The more I build in public, the more I realise open source helps you validate value before trying to price it.

Oh, and here’s the kicker, Flow runs an EVM equivalent environment. You can deploy Solidity contracts, use MetaMask, Hardhat — everything works out of the box. Plus, Flow has built-in randomness, account abstraction & composability baked into the chain. Honestly, it feels like what Ethereum would’ve been if built today — clean, fair, and built for devs.

I just learned about ERC-4626. So. here's a recap for you in case you didn't knew ERC-4626 is a standard for tokenized vaults in Ethereum. In simple terms — it defines how yield-earning vaults should behave, especially those that take deposits (like USDC, ETH) and give out shares in return. You deposit tokens → you get shares. You withdraw shares → you get your tokens + yield. The vault invests the tokens somewhere (like Aave, Yearn, etc.) to earn yield. This standard makes all vaults follow the same interface, so apps, wallets, and protocols can interact with any ERC-4626 vault easily without needing custom code.

what i found interesting is that it’s all powered by a TransactionHandler resource — you just define an executeTransaction() function, and flow calls it when the time arrives. so your contract is literally calling itself in the future.
1
4
30
Then I found out Flow is literally MEV (Miner Extractable Value)-resistant by design. No gas wars, no paying extra to skip the line, no front-running. It separates who proposes blocks and who executes them, so nobody can reorder txs for profit. Flat fees based on compute cost. Fair by default And for scaling Flow doesn’t have one crowded mempool. It’s got Collector Clusters that process txs in parallel. Add more clusters → more throughput → no bottlenecks.
