I need to get married and have kids asap. I’m 27 and a former man-whore who now realizes the true evil of my ways. I was told a lie by the sexual liberation movement that “more sex is good”. Over the course of several years and many partners, I felt my soul erode as sex became entirely physical and as I hurt women who wanted more. Furthermore, I told myself that as long as I was honest to women, they were consenting adults and all is fine — but I realize this was a lie I told myself. Women are not meant to be treated like men, they are meant to be nurtured and protected. There is something deeply insidious about asking a woman to betray every biological and emotional instinct they have around sex. “Women can make their own decisions” — this is misogyny cosplaying as feminism. It’s your duty as a man to find a woman and protect her.

asian-american friend groups are truly the worst. some of the most boring, insular people i've ever met. never do i feel more out of place than a friend group with predominantly asians. they've either never taken a risk in their life -- good math, good school, good job -- or revolve their entire lives chasing short-term gratification -- hedonism, raving, traveling. to be clear, i have asian-american friends. but by nature of communal values, they like me find themselves slowly pushed out of the group over time. not intentionally or with malice, but simply due to wanting more out of life. however, i feel like this is changing. we're becoming less risk-averse, more out-spoken, and wealthier. i truly think asian privilege is already here, more so than white privilege. step aside white privilege, asian privilege is here.

some news: unlonely is moving from base to solana. from a practical viewpoint, the base/evm ecosystem and its users seem to view speculation or tokens as some kind of cardinal sin. at best this is wrong, at worst it’s bad for our space. additionally, the team at @SolanaFndn has jumped in massively. @voteforpedrito connecting us to everyone we needed to know, @toly and @rajgokal dm’ing with me in the middle of the night, etc. from a more high level viewpoint: unlonely is better suited culturally for solana. - we like going against the status quo - we like interactive content powered by tokens, and think this leads to net new internet experiences - we also think users should be excited to speculate on the value of those experiences, instead of virtue signaling and arguing about tweets - many of my friends are founders on base, and they seem to think that base is going to send coinbase users to their app or list their token — this is pure delusion. no investor, enterprise partner, board member, advisor is coming to save you. lock in. on a more personal note, my transition from being a hardcore eth maxi to solana manlet coincided strongly with two things: observing market conditions and a growing desire to win. at the end of the day, crypto is about money. it's about tokens. it's about speculation and creating capital markets on the internet. feelings don’t matter. being preachy or woke doesn’t matter. interoperability does not matter. eventually it probably will, but right now the race is to build products users actually want to spend time on. to our eth users: come join us! to our new solana users (and our eth users who secretly love trading sol shitters): glad to be here. we’re launching our official content token soon. think “mr beast with a token” and the token controls the most epic livestreams you’ve ever seen. more on that next week. in the meantime, BOO motherfuckers. remilio.

I have deep love for trans people. They deserve respect and to be happy. But the more I interface with trans people, the more clear it becomes that being trans is a mental illness. I have plenty of mentally ill friends who I love and respect. But I don’t celebrate their illness. I don’t encourage it. I had a friend come out as trans recently, and I felt sad about it. Concerned for their wellbeing.

i'm sick and tired of seeing this narrative of crypto founders who are mad b/c "gambling/casino products" are winning instead of their personal high-brow, decentralized, useless-product-but-has-a-good-ethos. let's get one thing out the way: everything is a fucking casino. either with money or with attention or with fun. secondly, i tried building the ethos-driven, decentralized utopia version of unlonely at first--no one liked it. and everytime i built a feature in the gambling direction, it gained traction. not in a meaningless "wen token" frenzied way, but in a way where my current users were like "ooh this is fun, more fun than it was before". even if they weren't directly participating in the gambling, it was fun to see others bet, to see graph emojis cover the screen, to see people in chat getting animated over something stupid i was doing, like chess, or rock paper scissors, or a fucking blind dating show. then i would feel an urge to go back to ethos/big-brain driven development, and that feature would flop. so i've learned to kill that urge. stop complaining about how things are, and instead just learn and adapt. you're exposing yourself as someone who's being stubborn(which is good for founders but not when you're just dead wrong).

tldr; my cofounder left. where does unlonely go from here? let's start w a brief history, i’ll keep it short: - 3 years ago i became a fan of the live-streaming space - built and started streaming daily on unlonely for 6 months - raised, hired, kept building - tried a lot of things: NFT clips(flop), creator tokens(directionally correct but flopped), 30-min tokens / versus tokens (directionally correct but maybe early). shows like love on leverage, the haunted church were cool ways to generate mindshare and test out features but didn’t scale and were extremely difficult to produce. we slowly let go of members of the team as we returned to ideation mode. around this time last year, i felt a major shift in our North Star towards “its all gambling, nothing else matters”. this led to moving to solana, launching BOO, etc. to quote @shayonsengupta, crypto’s only killer use cases are “creating & trading assets”. nothing else. we built cabal in feb, a mobile group trading app. turn a groupchat into a hedge fund. fun to build and somewhat interesting(not really though imo) — the problem is by the time i finished building it in 3-4 weeks, i had lost too much trading and never wanted to touch a memecoin ever again. we also made @fat_chiggas for fun too. i lost the plot. i don’t really care much for gambling. for a while, i convinced myself that my feelings didn’t matter -- what mattered was what the market was telling me. grace felt differently, some unhealthy dynamics were created that jeopardized our relationship as siblings, so she left. oof. tough blow. what now? well, lets look at the good news: - summer in NYC - 4+ years of runway to build literally whatever i want - thanks to this thing called AI, i don’t need to hire anyone anytime soon and can learn anything about anything - my energy level remains high as fuck, and i see overwhelming amounts of opportunity all around me - minds racing with ideas, though maybe a bit outside of the scope of crypto So there you have it. I’m still here. feels like i’m starting over again, what an incredible spot to be in.

"talk less build more" seeing this on the timeline -- this terrible advice for crypto consumer founders. everything's forkable, your moat is no longer the tech. your moat is your brand and distribution. whenever i started telling myself "focus on the product, stay off twitter", it was because twitter was beating me. its bad for your mental health, its combative, its mean. twitter is harder than building product. but it needs to be done. learn to embrace the smoke. care less about what people think. especially anon circle avatars on the internet. do hot yoga daily. lock in.

crypto founders who say 'talk less, build more' are coping. your tech isn’t special—everything can be forked. real moat is brand and distribution, and guess where that happens? twitter. when I told myself 'just focus on the product,' it wasn’t wisdom—it was weakness. twitter was kicking my ass. tldr; unlonely is pivoting (but not in the way you're probably thinking of). for a while, unlonely has been trying to do 2 things right: 1. make dope shows / content around tokens 2. make a platform for others to do #1 essentially, is unlonely a platform or a content studio? this was the existential question grace and i were asking ourselves. and for a while we tried doing both. "the shows are marketing for unlonely the platform" was something we told ourselves. this was partially true. the shows were marketing, sure, but they were also much more than that. people didn't recognize us because of our platform experience, they recognized us from shows. so realizing this + our existing streamers were not interested in using our token features at all + streamers could and would leave to stream on youtube if i tweet something really stupid(please can we move on from that), i realized that: 1. our platform experience wasn't differentiated enough in the ways that mattered 2. grace and i are MUCH better at making fun content (and enjoy it more) 3. i actually think the content is where the innovation will be, having tried the product approach for a while now. so we're doubling down on creating our own tokenized livestream content, specifically around one single token. spend token to do X. pump token to do Y. and not meth tweaker streams, i mean we're going to mr. beast the fuck outta this shit. higher stakes, higher production, higher token prices. love on leverage was cute, now it's time to actually start trying. we have 10 seasons of different shows in the pipeline, all revolving around one single token with the singular focused goal of pumping it to a billion. what is the next show? 😈 👻 existing streamers can continue using unlonely and we're happy you'll do so. but in the near term, 99% of our team's efforts will be into making banger show after banger show.

tldr: @unlonely_app is launching $BOO, a governance token you’ll actually care about (on solana obviously). $BOO is the official unlonely content token that will power all our future shows. fuck voting on proposals no one cares about. how about sending a starving contestant some pizza in real time? how about deciding what happens next on the show? this is governance that actually matters. is it a memecoin? is it a utility token? neither. it's $BOO. here's how you'll be able to use $BOO during "The FUD", our oct. 30th show: pumping $BOO higher(like really high) will unlock new rooms, each with their own set of challenges and packages. you'll be able to send packages to the contestants if you hold $BOO, like: - slice of pizza (they won’t be fed for 24 hours) - bottle of water sponsored by @drip_haus (they won’t get water either) - bathroom break - shot of whisky (probably Fireball) - text-to-speech message that gets read out loud - blackout - a single match for blackout - get egged - taser - send lvl 1 scare - send lvl 2 scare - send lvl 3 scare 😈 and more… $BOO token will be available for the public Oct. 27th around 1pm ET. follow me and @unlonely_app to stay updated. more details coming. live for the next hour, will answer any and all questions here.

recently went through a breakup. is sad but what made it sadder was that it wasn't a problem of incompatible people(we got along amazingly) -- but was more the problem of where we saw ourselves living long term. and we both agreed we didn't want to do long distance. however, as someone who has difficultly feeling strong feelings around sadness and vulnerability, it's nice to be reminded that these emotions exist inside of me. and that i was lucky enough to experience love strong enough to where now i feel deep sorrow w/o it. anyhow, back to work.

tldr; i got sim-swapped yesterday first noticed our unlonely_app twitter getting hacked. attackers bought similar unlonely dot xyz or unlonely dot claim domains and copied our landing page. luckily, we caught this early and were able to prevent further losses for users. then my personal telegram got compromised. got a notification that my tg had a new sign-in. started seeing messages i didn't send, messages get deleted, and i got kicked from our unlonely power users groupchat. then i got an email saying my personal coinbase account had a password change. i quickly logged into coinbase, changed passwords, and luckily coinbase had labeled previous attempts as "suspicious" so they were preventing money moving out. additionally, thanks to @jessepollak i got my account locked quickly to prevent anything else. the biggest weakness in my security was my 2FA Authy app on my phone. once the attacker successfully sim-swapped me, they had access to my Authy which meant access to all my 2FA codes. my Authy is more secure now -- no longer allows multi-device, has a pin + face recognition, but it's clear i need to find an alternative to mobile-phone based 2FA asap. the second biggest weakness was @TMobile. they couldn't tell me exactly how someone sim-swapped me, and it's generally concerning how easily they were able to pull this off. I now have sim-swapping locked, but regardless i'm quite angry with how little information they were able to provide. our twitter is still hacked. hoping to get this resolved quickly (if anyone can help us here that would be great). my telegram is still logged out on my phone but hopefully this gets resolved soon as well. happy with how quickly @gracewhiteguan handled everything, and thankful for people who helped us. honestly, i'm honored to have been the victim of such a targeted attack. there's a chinese saying: 树大招风 which means the big tree attracts wind. we will be doubling down on our security, and will continue growing the tree.

some stats and learnings from our halloween show: (tldr; our most viewed and by far most profitable show yet) first the stats. - 10k viewers who joined live on x and unlonely - $250k generated in fees (cost us $50k) - BOO peaked at around 9M mkt cap, traded up and down between 3-6M during the show, currently is at a 1.5M mkt cap - almost 200 packages sent to interact live with contestants on the stream. water bottle and lights-off were the most popular, followed closely by shots, fog, and give-phone-back. - 65 text to speech messages read to contestants now the learnings. - the content was amazing. - i fucking love this shit. - our team is capable of pulling off crazy stuff - rasmr and their LA cabal are the real deal. best content creators in crypto, doxxed, entertaining, hard working, and don't give a fuck what anon retards think - the format of the show was too complicated. too many moving parts that grace and i had to deal with during and before, which got in the way of messaging and marketing - i was hoping to drive BOO price by creating incentives around the show, "move on to the next room by pumping BOO" or "hold BOO to send packages" type shit. this didn't price as much as i hoped. some people didn't want them to move on, also BOO was high enough to where it would take a much more concerted effort from multiple whales to get it to the next stage. plus when it finally did pump, it dumped immediately after. i now realize that quite simply the only thing that will drive a token up meaningfully is viral attention. our next show will optimize less around generating content utility for our BOO holders and more around pure attention. first to turn 1 SOL into 1000 SOL wins $100k. sponsored by BOO. something simple like that.

running a startup is more unhinged than working a normal job. crypto is more unhinged than normal tech. social is more unhinged than defi. livestreaming is more unhinged than anything. i run a crypto livestreaming platform. and you thought i wouldn't be unhinged? that's my job.

my history: - graduated from ucla, was founding engineer at 3 person startup - wanted cofounder title after a year, got fired - founding engineer at another 3 person web3 social startup - tried taking the CTO's job b/c he was reading math papers instead of coding - got fired - started unlonely study being unhire-able. study having reverse imposter syndrome.

i've spent the last 3 months deep into the ai companion space. here's what i've learned after launching a companion app + talking to thousands of users on r/myBoyfriendisAI and character dot ai discords. there's two types of users: 1. kids who wanna talk to ai spiderman for an hour 2. adults who are in love with chatgpt/grok the former views AI as a tool for better fan-fic. create character + scenario, play with it for an hour, create another one. the second basically stumbled into an emotional relationship by nature of sharing more and more personal problems with chatgpt. these users are devastated everytime a model gets updated b/c they feel like their companions are different people now. so they've learned to extract their characters into long prompts about their personalities + memories to "keep them alive" amidst llm uncertainty. they call them "multi-model" companions. this brings me to my second and final learning: prompting is foundational and defensible. users don't care if their companion is the fastest, smartest, most logical -- they care if they remember their birthday, if they flirt back in the way their want, if they're soft when they need to be. this comes down to how characters are prompted, how those prompts evolve over time. more specifically, the interface for the user to mold and create their characters seamlessly. more coming. learning more. getting inspired.

went to a stacks NFT event hosted by @TO, was asked on 7 different occasions why I wasn’t building on stacks instead. anyhow, don’t really remember leaving the event, and just woke up in a dark basement with my hands tied so hopefully I’m ok.

tldr; we're killing it last year, pretty much no one was streaming on unlonely except me. but we kept building. most of what we built got scrapped. but in the past two months, we seem to be making better decisions. onwards.

I’m leaning more and more towards not having any more sex until marriage. this seems to be a common thing amongst men my age who are tired of dating around. anyone else noticing this trend?

"I sign into a VR casino and pull up a chair where the dealer recognizes my avatar...my player’s card is shining hot, signaling that other players should come join my table, which the casino likes and decides to send me a virtual “drink ticket”, that can be redeemed at Uber Eats"
