So much of this! I'm telling y'all, sitting, Rs felt the ground under them shake with Cheneyโ€™s statement. While Dick might not influence the brand of Rs born in recent years, he maintains his seat at THE table among the elite Rs who've quietly witnessed the buffoonery their former beloved party has become. The man has nothing to lose and doesn't need to chase clout. The party messed with the wrong woman. They came for one of his little girls. Rs should be afraid. Very afraid. Once Madam VP wins and Ds take back the House and Senate, the Rs, the real ones, will be silently doing the work needed to clean their house. And this is something Ds need to be vigilant of. That brand of Rs is not f*cking around. They won't sell our country out like what we are witnessing today, but they'll be hungry for power, and if you as much as blink, you won't know what hit you. Because believe me, our allies will have nothing to fear, but those that the party always viewed as our enemies yet Trump cozied up to? If you think our military is powerful now, you haven't seen anything yet.

Such a horrific loss. Thank you, POTUS, for your unyielding support for our nation and its people. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ A snippet from the post below: โ€œThere is so much about that time that enrages me, but I know this is something I will never be able to forgive. If a leader cannot prioritize human life in its most vulnerable state, then empathy is nowhere in their core. And that lack of empathy is not what we need in a leader. โ€œEmpathy isn't a weakness. It's a moral compass. It makes us stop, think, and feel the weight of our decisions. This. Absolutely this. Donald Trump told many lies, but this particular one hit hard. We all witnessed the pandemic unfold in real-timeโ€”a nightmare for everyone, but especially for the early victims of COVID-19 and healthcare workers. Those of us receiving medical care during that time saw firsthand how quickly everything spiraled, how systems struggled to cope, and how vulnerable we all were. But then we learned that Jared Kushner and his task force took control of the nation's stockpile of PPE and medical supplies, rerouting them in ways that favored private companies and personal connections instead of ensuring they reached frontline workers who were desperate for protection. Meanwhile, our healthcare professionals were left scrambling, reusing masks and gowns, and risking their lives because the essential gear they needed was withheld. Over ๐Ÿ”.๐Ÿ— ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฉ๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ždied globally from this virus. More than ๐Ÿ.๐Ÿ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง of those deaths were here in the United States. Those are not just numbers. Those are human livesโ€”parents, siblings, friends, and coworkersโ€”who are no longer here, many because of a delayed or insufficient response. Letโ€™s be clear: this is not about political affiliation or media hype. These are real people who suffered while leaders failed to act decisively when it mattered most. There is so much about that time that enrages me, but I know this is something I will never be able to forgive. If a leader cannot prioritize human life in its most vulnerable state, then empathy is nowhere in their core. And that lack of empathy is not what we need in a leader. Empathy isn't a weakness. It's a moral compass. It makes us stop, think, and feel the weight of our decisions. It's what we need when deciding to push a button that could impact entire populations and ecosystems.

She and all the MAGA claiming they didn't do this to their family four years ago don't get it. I went no contact with half of my family over the last two elections. Yes, they broke my heart, and it was a difficult decision, but they also showed me who they are and how quickly they forgot our family's immigration story. I'm no contact with my dad as well. He's not a MAGA, but he allows his misogynistic son, aka my brother, to treat me like crap. I'm done being the doormat and recipient of constant gaslighting and double standards. They can all have each other. Besides, if Trump takes immigrants' citizenship away, I'm sure all those I cut off will be on the list. Thankfully, my maternal family is Indigenous American. I might have one hell of a fight but I have an ace up my sleeve that none of them do. And Iโ€™ll use it if I need to if they try to deport me.

To My Black American Sisters, Iโ€™m reaching out to you with a heart that aches, filled with gratitude and deep sorrow. In the face of an outcome that feels like a betrayal, I want to say what I know can never be said enough: I am so sorry. You deserved better. You did the work, showed up, and led with strength and resilience. You carried not only yourselves but a country that too often doesnโ€™t recognize your worth, a country that still turns away when you need it most. This election is a harsh reminder of how far we still have to go, and yet, no matter how many times youโ€™ve been asked to show up, to keep fighting, to sacrifice, you continue to do so. I see that. I see the burdens you bear, and I am endlessly grateful. There is a fierce grace in how you love this country and its promise, even when it does not love you back. You are the backbone, the wisdom, the voice of reason and justice that so many look to, and still, you are so often met with silence and disregard. Thereโ€™s no denying the ugliness in some who, despite all your efforts, chose misogyny, hate, and fear over justice and progress. They burned down what you worked tirelessly to build, dismissed what you carried with courage, and ignored the love you poured into this land. It is maddening and heartbreaking to see it happen again and again after all youโ€™ve done. Please know that those who truly understand and see you feel the pain of this betrayal alongside you. I promise to stand with you, to continue listening, and to speak out against the injustice that, yet again, tries to wear you down. I promise to honor your work, amplify your voices, and acknowledge the sacrifices you continue to make every single day. You shouldnโ€™t have to keep doing this alone, and though I know words alone cannot lessen the weight, I hope you feel the love and respect you have so rightfully earned. In solidarity and sisterhood, I am here, and I am listening. I see you, I stand with you, and I will not turn away. With all my love and unending gratitude, Rose

Many of us have been shouting this from the rooftops since they overturned Roe v. Wade. The writing is on the wall, in bold, glaring letters. You donโ€™t have to be pro-choice to see whatโ€™s happeningโ€”to see whatโ€™s coming. The Suffrage Movement, Civil Rights, Womenโ€™s Rightsโ€”think about it! Weโ€™ve had these rights for less than 100 ๐˜บ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ด. And yet, some of you are willing to throw it all away, erasing the tireless work of generations of women and people of color who fought, bled, and died for these freedoms. For what? ๐˜๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜ธ๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ต? To be subservient to a man? Listen, if thatโ€™s what you want, you donโ€™t need to drag us all back into submission to achieve it. Go ahead, be a โ€œMolly Homemaker,โ€ and live your โ€œwholesomeโ€ lifestyle. No oneโ€™s stopping you. Thatโ€™s the ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ point of feminismโ€”๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ช๐˜ค๐˜ฆ. So you can live however you want without undoing every progress weโ€™ve made. Wake up. This is about control. This is about stripping us of ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ our rights. Regardless, why must it be the grandparent's job? Maybe Vance should admit he's got nothing.

And beyond that, on behalf of your mother and sisters, I pledge that we, your blood family, will do all we can to continue the imaginative way in which you were steering these two exceptional young men so that their souls are not simply immersed by duty and tradition but can sing openly as you planned.โ€ Thank you and The Spencer Family for being there for the people's prince, Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, and for honoring the men and women who served their country valiantly. #WeAreInvictus

It's crazy how other unions understood what's at stake, but LEOs don't feel the same pressure since they are publically funded and essential. I'm not for defunding the police, but I'm 100% for demanding more. Even a journeyman requires continuing education and recertification, which is good. I've long held that while I appreciate the path to becoming an LEO doesn't require indebting the candidate by getting a four-year degree, I believe they need more than the entry-level academy training. Just like codes change, so do people, and that which plagues us.

I suppose, deep down inside, they are unwilling to test the character of the men they love, which, in my opinion, is extremely telling. Trump can no longer get a pass on behavior thatโ€™s ๐˜ง๐˜ข๐˜ณ from normal for a presidential candidate. Something is seriously wrong. Think about it. Black women have consistently shown high voter turnout rates, especially in the recent national election. They are often recognized as a critical demographic due to their high engagement and participation rates. In fact, Black women have been reported to have the highest turnout rate among minority women and sometimes even among all demographic groups, playing a crucial role in shaping election outcomes. This high level of civic engagement has made Black women a powerful and influential group within the electorate. It's easy to discern why the opposition would want to break up this powerful group of women. โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” Black women have indeed shown high voter turnout rates, particularly in significant elections. They have been a pivotal force in voter mobilization, often leading in voter registration efforts. This demographic was highlighted as the third-highest voter turnout group in the 2020 presidential election, showcasing their critical role in shaping election outcomes. โฌ†๏ธ [ lwv.org/newsroom/news-clips/โ€ฆ ] However, the voter turnout trends can fluctuate. For instance, the 2020 election saw a high overall turnout, with significant participation from Black Americans, surpassing their previous records set in 2012. This high level of engagement reflects the considerable influence and mobilization within the community, despite facing numerous challenges and barriers to voting. โฌ†๏ธ [ brennancenter.org/our-work/aโ€ฆ ]

To the Republican mothers and wives out there, heed my warning or not, but hereโ€™s the deal: Ifโ€”and I truly mean if, because I believe Biden will win againโ€”but if by some chance he doesnโ€™t, letโ€™s face some truths. A Trump victory will not be the utopia you imagine. The conspiracies many of you buy intoโ€”like the Illuminati and New World Order? Well, ironically, thatโ€™s precisely what youโ€™re feeding into. The power players behind Project 2025, like Leonard Leo and his cohort, do not see you as equals. You are not on their level. If Trump wins, after theyโ€™ve deported those youโ€™re so eager to see gone, they will quickly show you your place. You are not part of their vision for America. Youโ€™re lambasting J.D. Vanceโ€™s wife because sheโ€™s brown? Those at the top will tolerate people of color as long as they have money, power, and intelligence. They donโ€™t care about you. These power players soft-launched Trump, not knowing if their theory of reaching for the low-hanging fruitโ€”meaning the MAGA Republicans via their hate machineโ€”would work. When it did, with the help of outside influences on our elections, they werenโ€™t fully prepared. But they are now. They are showing us, telling us, and will prove it. This is not a theory or something made up. It is literally in black and white, and they are openly discussing it. Trump isnโ€™t calling the shots. He might like to believe he is, but heโ€™s not. Just look at his mannerisms; there is fear in that man. While he still spouts his rhetoric, pay attention to his change. Physically, yes, he has aged, but mentally, he seems differentโ€”maybe itโ€™s dementia, I donโ€™t know. But there is fear, and itโ€™s more sinister than we can imagine. He fell right into the trap, and there is no going back for him. The politicians backing him are compromised because they know how deep this goesโ€”theyโ€™re in the trenches. Now, Iโ€™m not calling you stupid, but the true puppet masters see us all as pawns. When you vote, think carefully about what youโ€™re supporting. You're mistaken if you believe a Trump-led America will be some Stepford Wives paradise. It will be more like The Hunger Games meets Divergent: factions, divisions, and a dystopian nightmare. People of color, whom youโ€™ve been led to despise, have escape clauses. Many can return to their ancestral lands. Devolved nations will open their doors to asylum seekers from the U.S., but theyโ€™ll scrutinize your digital footprint. They donโ€™t want the chaos youโ€™ve created. You donโ€™t need to state who youโ€™re voting for publicly. No one needs to know. Just vote. Vote your conscience. Remember where this is headed if your guy wins. This is not a game. Trump isnโ€™t calling the shots. Heโ€™s compromisedโ€”by Russia, by Christian extremism, by the Saudis. Do your research. Donโ€™t take my word for it. Get away from the echo chambers and seek out diverse sources. This is not headed where you think it is. Take a hard look at the path youโ€™re on. This is your last chance to change course before itโ€™s too late. You don't want to live in the future youโ€™re creating.

I did the same, only my local grocery store doesnโ€™t carry that brand of ground beef so I substituted it for a more expensive brand. We also donโ€™t have tax on food, only โ€œconvenienceโ€ type foods.

This is where we are. While mainstream media applies double standards to Vice President Harris, it completely ignores the mountain of threats Trump poses. Letโ€™s set aside his endless crimes for a moment and focus on just one thing: Imagine a U.S. president pushing world leaders aside, literally leaving behind the stench of his own mess. ๐Ÿ’ฉ This is the man running for president againโ€”a repulsive, racist, treasonous threat to democracy, and this is who the GOP so fiercely defends. They either hate our country and its people so much that theyโ€™re willing to hand it over for Trump to dismantle, or they see themselves in this disgusting orange pig and have much to account for.

This 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, both high school students of the same high school, died this week by gunshot. Christopher (18) was killed Monday on-campus parking in the morning, and Ali was killed on Wednesday, as noted in the screenshot. This is devastating to our district community, the school community, and, most significantly, the family and friends of the victims. My kids attend a different high school in the same district, but we serve as the overflow school for the high school these two young men went to. Our district is the fourth most diverse in the nation. While it is one of the larger in our state, we are somewhat untied in the sense that we all want accountability, transparency, equity, and more importantly, the overall safety and well-rounded education for every student. All feel the loss of any student. But the loss of our students by the hand of another? Well, as you can imagine, it is infuriating. May they R.I.P., and may justice be served.

I was having this conversation with my high school senior. He was so quick to reply that he has no faith in our gun laws changing because we, collectively as a people, love guns more than we love children. He knows many care and understands the nuances involved. But he said, โ€œWhat faith can we have when it comes to the countries most vulnerable, politics cannot be set aside? Everyone selfish is zealously protecting their positions and pointing fingers, and we watch it happen. And then you all dare wonder why my generation is all up in their feelings when we are witnessing in real-time how messed up our country is. Racism? Sexism? Heck, you are going on every day about why this and that. And I get it. But no one is pushing term limits. Do you want to fix the messed-up problems? Then, push for term limits. Encourage and support younger politicians. You can't fix anything until most of those holding office are gone because they will never change.โ€

Word salad noncommittal, nonresponse. Say what you truly mean. And to the rest, flaking out on Biden. Like the MAGA Republicans, we often call out for believing everything they are told; you are behaving no differently. Come on! Use discernment. Look closely at these polls and pay attention to the small print. You cannot be for Kamala if you're not for Biden. You're just lying to yourselves. Back Biden! This election cycle, we've known who MAGA is. Still, we never expected our party leaders to become the real chaos agents sowing discord and willing to disenfranchise millions of constituents. The party had ample time to introduce a new candidate, yet it didn't. Don't give us this MAGA bullshit. We already know. And back our nominee. Period. Fair Housing Act of 1968. This federal law prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of dwellings based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or disability. In the scenario you described, this would violate the Fair Housing Act. Such actions could be reported to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) or other relevant authorities for investigation and enforcement. It sounds like you are on top of it. Good. Do not relent. If we don't take action, this behavior continues and becomes normalized.
