I’m not sure where to start. The auction was a disaster. Starting out with a delay due to some contract verification bugs, then ending with a low bidder turnout and well below mint out number of bids. It’s humbling to say the least.
We failed in our auction/mint experience, we failed to properly communicate our supply and the burn function, we failed in generating enough hype in an attention driven market where quick flips, gamefi and token offerings are the current meta. I take this failure on myself and apologize to our artists and those supporters that placed bids.
All is not lost though. We came up with a great concept and created a beautiful collection of art that captures the moment in exceptional ways. We created dope short clips about each moment that got a lot of people hyped up, and got people talking and sharing their stories of those moments. We made great profile videos of our artists and helped them share their stories and reach new audiences. We have laid the foundation for something great.
What’s next? I believe there are many components of Crypto Moments that are exceptional, what didn't work is the way it was packaged. The way Crypto Moments is currently built won’t work with such a low supply out there.
We are going to start by refunding everyone that placed a bid including the gas they used. You can expect this within 24 hours. We will keep a log of every address that placed a bid and keep that in mind as we take some time to strategize on the best way to move forward. The art is too fucking good not to have it out there, but clearly, we need to change how this project works.
Thank you to everyone who hit me in the DM’s with kind words. Thank you to everyone who followed and enjoyed our content & Thank you to everyone who participated in the auction.
This moment goes down in my history & becomes part of my story, but the Crypto Moments story isn’t done yet. So if you fuck with everything Crypto Moments has created, stay tuned.
