As a Ukrainian Jew, I can confirm that it is in fact possible to be Ukrainian and Jewish at the same time. Being Jewish doesn't make me or thousands of people like me less Ukrainian. Israel should really pay attention to antisemitic rhetoric of Russia's government.

It’s interesting to see some people being upset about calling the vote for amending the Russian Constitution a ‘referendum’, but being totally fine with using that term with regard to the Crimean ‘referendum’. I’d call it karma if I believed in it.

I think you're omitting the fact that majority of Russians don't protest because they still support the war (and war crimes/genocide committed in Ukraine) & think they themselves won't be conscripted, because the poor and/or national minorities will be the ones mobilised.

А какие ‘позитивные реалистичные варианты’ для Украины, простите? Российская армия убила, изнасиловала, и запытала тысячу украинцев. Города стёрты с лица земли. Миллионы беженцев. Какие вот позитивные варианты для этих людей?

My 13 y.o. sister is spending another school day in a bomb shelter in Kyiv, my father was lucky to pass Klitschko bridge just 15 minutes before the rocket strike. Please tell us again how #Russians do not support the war & about all the reasons they can’t protest.

If I were an economist, I would avoid providing international law analysis, especially to such a big audience.

By ‘a few online crazies’ you mean Ukrainian people trying to survive a genocide perpetrated by Russia?
