Kenya, a nation of 56 million people, has around 1400 Firefighters. For perspective, L.A. City, with 4 million, has 4000 uniform personnel.
Recently we met with the Sec. General of the Kenya Fire Brigades Association, and learned about their work in supporting and unifying the Kenyan Firefighters, and enhancing the fire service in Kenya. We also discussed Bitcoin, and its benefits as a tool for unions and wage earners. Our goal is to help the Association with their efforts by placing Bitcoin on their balance sheet, via donated sats, coupled with some education for their members. Their success as a union, translates into success for the people of Kenya, and the emergency services and firefighters they rely on in life or death situations.

Your raising me with a โswim coach, not lifeguardโ mentality didnโt just teach me how to literally swim - you coached me through life with the same determination, heart, and humor. Youโve been one of my biggest cheerleaders and fiercest advocates in all things, not from the deck but from by my side.
While other moms waited in the carpool line, you walked into school to pick me up, showing me that being present matters and what it means to show up fully for the people you love. You advocated for my homemade lunches, initiating a school policy change, taught me how to pay bills by age 10, and sat me down to make โthe spreadsheetโ - the one that changed how I thought about my choices and the course of my life.
You taught me that the little things matter, like the sentimentality of a handwritten letter and how to treat every person like a friend you just havenโt met yet. And you kept me grounded with your rules: 2 fruits and 1 sweet at Pinkberry (on the Original flavor), no TV in the summer (and then only HGTV, Food Network, Curious George or The Brady Bunch), and the infamous extra-long gym shorts & flip phone. (Not my favorite then, but I see the wisdom now!)
Most of all, you showed me what it means to bet on yourself - to believe in your dreams and work for them. You are one of my greatest inspirations, strongest supporters, and favorite people.

Perhaps if Pensions move from hypothetical to actual #Bitcoin allocations soon, they will find that in time, it will be the liabilities trying to keep up with total asset value
Including later today but thats +36% since our recommendation. On 142Bi a 2% allocation would have added more than 1Bi to pensioners.

The WRS is a well-funded, well run pension. At a near 99% funded status in 2023 (meaning the pensions assets equate to 99% of the pensions overall liabilities) the WRS is not in a desperate situation. Quite the opposite, they are nearly fully funded and incredibly healthy. Now even stronger with a #Bitcoin allocation
