Looking at Osamu Sato's The Art Of Computer Designing: A Black and White Approach and my head is exploding. These drawings are beautiful. Bless @internetarchive for sharing this $400 book - archive.org/details/satoArtO…
Painting Software, 2020. I wrote a web based video painting / digital painting tool. Designed for desktop but works (sometimes) on mobile. Please give it a try and send me what you make. #digitalpaintingtravesssmalley.com/Painting_…
Turned 35: woke up, went birdwatching and saw a family of 14 turtles sunbathing on a log, had an iced tea, a cookie, watched some scuba diving videos with Alice, took a nap

Unlocked this week: Kate Linker’s 1979 essay on Charles Simonds’s emblematic architecture. Linker sheds light on the peculiar timelessness of Simonds’s sculptures, whose material explorations of past and future seek to ground us securely in the present. artforum.com/features/charle…
One of the first artists I met through Hic et Nunc, @cybermistic . Seeing Charles Simonds Object Works yesterday reminded me of Marcelo Pinel's Eco-House digital paintings made in MSPaint. Now I'm thinking about Nathalie du Pasquier's Memphis-era drawings and isometric games.

In 2011 I came across this picture of a "global sim card" that was only like a 100 pixels wide. Loved it as an image and tried to recreate it in vector and re-upload into the wild. Cool to see how it's lived on and circulated in advertisements for the past 10 years.
2015, @FOXY_PRODUCTION Thank you John and Michael for your support and vision over the past 15 years. Beyond grateful and proud to be part of such an amazing program.
Experiments in Pixel Rug scripting. Working on documentation of the entire project. Pixel art tutorials, textile histories, scripting in Photoshop, plotter drawings, and soon literal rugs. Had a nice convo w/ @whistlegraph and realized I need to share this research and code.
Can't adequately articulate the energy and support I've felt this week on Coordinates. I want to again thank the entire extended @foliafoliafolia family. Bless you all ⟡
