No disrepect to the crew but if he looks exactly like Timmy, has the same interests as him, and is doing something that makes sense for his character. It's Timmy to me. I cannot see it as a diff character that is just extremley similar, that makes no sense to me lol.

Ultimatley it's no big deal. Cartoons, especially mostly episodic ones usually don't make a big point of cannon or continuity. If you don't want to see it as Timmy thats cool too! This is just how I see it, I'd like Timmy to be an extra on a CC movie, I think he'd be happy!

It does in fact sound like he's saying "SpongeBob" when you are going in with that expectation. However we all know that SpongeBob is copyrighted and Mario would not say that, especially in this situation. That's just my own opinion though. You are free to think what you like.
