Award-winning Comedy Animation Director & Storyboard Artist. Union guy. Cowbutch. Pitching/Available. Prev: Illumination, FOX, Paramount, Nickelodeon

California, USA
I have a bald head and bind my chest. Woman I spoke to in Walmart heard my voice, must have realized I’m not male, and told me “Jesus can still save you from your lifestyle”. I said “Thank you so much, he already saved me from breast cancer once”. Hope her day sucks.

My parents both had the same last name (Davis) when they got married. Not related. They renamed the ranch “Double D Ranch”. Last year I lost my birth certificate and the state of California didn’t believe me that both names were the same. I wrote them “My family has been inbreeding in California since the gold rush don’t tell me now that I can’t and don’t exist in your beautiful state”. They then sent me my birth certificate.

We have meetings about what memes and popular things we can use to get #standwithanimation in people’s feeds. Unions do this, it’s called mobilizing! The fact that it happened organically without a strategy or plan is incredible. When the employers see this, they see how strong and unified we are. I don’t think knowing facts & stats about staffing minimums or employment rates is any more important than sharing jokes. This is what the rank & file member looks like, doing what they love and are good at. Union yaoi.
not to be a buzzkill but man the "animation union yaoi" stuff really rubs me the wrong way, it comes across as trivializing and counterproductive. useful information is getting buried under a bunch of meme drawings and now even official union accounts are posting it

My horse kicked me in the head and I had a traumatic brain injury, couldn’t write my name at the ER- was storyboarding again weeks later. Learn any trade or skill. Mine tried to leave my memory and still came back to me.
if an update to your "tool" wipes away your entire skillset, then it's not "just a tool" or a particularly worthwhile skillset

I used to make my income doing commissions at conventions. Here are my horrors with rooming with friends I thought I knew well : - multiple couples having a honeymoon moment while they thought I was asleep - “I dont take showers only baths”, hogging the bathroom, and inviting us to sit and “hangout” with them while they were naked in the tub - Former rich kid says “Ill pick up food and you can pay me back” and somehow found and brought me a $30 sandwich in rural Illinois in the 2010s - Getting minors blackout drunk - Sleeping with minors - “I can only fall asleep to TV but it has to be an episode of something I have seen before or I will get invested” -Not showering -Not flushing turds - Mean to hotel staff - pretending to be roofied because someone else was and they were jealous - waiting around in the room all day for me to get back because they just wanted to hang out with me but not at the con - inviting strangers to “spend the night” in a room already full of 4-5 people BONUS: - someone I was closer to than I’d like to admit took something out of someone else’s suitcase and used it on themself (not telling you what it is, use context clues)

My first big Hollywood eye-opener was after I had just broke in- talking to a character designer (wont tag him unless he sees and wishes to be tagged) who did or had a huge hand in Pickle Rick’s design about how he will never see a penny of it’s success. Months before my break, I was a Hot Topic cashier and I bagged hundreds. Hundreds. Of Pickle Rick merch a day.
I think about this all the time. The profit they make off our ideas = HUGE. Me/Stephen Neary/Tiffany Ford came up w the Fart Cactus shirt. CN sold them. We didn't make a cent from them. I'm sure it wasn't their biggest seller ever but imagine people who work on shows like Ben10!

The SpongeBob fans are very attached to our background characters, some of which haven’t been used very often in decades. I told a discord server of fans to make their cases for unloved fish and I’ll toss them in sometime. So far I’m hearing things like “he is a very good boy”

I meet so many people in the animation industry who’s worlds were shaped by their high school art teacher, and that’s amazing but mine ripped up our art in front of us if we didn’t “follow his direction” so me and a gaggle of emo kids started a rumor he wore diapers and you could hear them crinkle when he walked.

The AMPTP denied that Animation Guild members have had issues with dismissal pay, being deadnamed in the credits or not credited despite correction, or finding accessible gender-neutral bathrooms. If you have had these issues, let us know so we can form a strong rebuttal. We need it ASAP for tomorrow. CONTACT : fieldrep@tag839.org - Negotiations committee, with permission to post.

This is only in a scenario where you are willing to put yourself in harm’s way to save a life as opposed to people who will hurt the animal, agitate it, and cause the animal to panic and hurt the person further. It does not hurt to know how to handle a horse.

The middle class thrived in the 1950s because 1/3rd of the working class (compared to today’s measly 6%) were in labor unions and The National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) of 1935 gave workers more power & income inequality was at it’s lowest since the depression.
