A year ago yesterday my Dad passed away and I couldn’t have done the last year with this group of coaches, players of this Club. Promotion back to the top flight is the perfect end to a year from hell.
I owe them everything ❤️🔴⚪️
Sadly I lost my Dad yesterday. I’ve had plenty of messages from the football community already and I would like to say thanks.
He was the man who got me into music, guitars and football. I owed him so much.

As a club we have followed every protocol to get players and staff back safely while others, adult AND youth, don’t care and flaunt every rule.
We talk lots about MH / welfare, now WE are punished despite following every rule required. Disgusted.
This just sums it up.
What a group of players, what a great set of coaches, what an incredible support staff.
Finishing where we deserve 👊🏻
Champions and promoted.
#GloryChased 😏
Delighted to have passed my @UEFA B Licence. Thanks to @grpat & the @ScottishFA Tutor team (in particular Parky and Andy Smith) for all the support over the last year 👏🏼☺️
Don’t really have the words to thank someone who took a complete chance on me and has trusted me for this amount of time - and it’s been a hell of rollercoaster, good times and bad.
One of the best the game will have, never mind the club.
One Last Dance next week Gaffer.

We can announce that Manager Gary Doctor will step down following next weeks Playoff Match.
We are now accepting CV applications for Head Coach, closing Friday June 2nd at 5pm.

A challenging day (for a number of reasons) but this club does what it does best - fights adversity head on when we get written off and we do it together.
🏆 What an incredible result and performance from our 17s. Barely given a chance and delivered big time.
Magnificent 🫡
It was an honour to sign on behalf of @accieswfc to our new membership of the SPFL Scottish Womens Premier League.
Really exciting times ahead for Womens Football in Scotland.
Anyone else thinking @hopesolo has been a decent pundit so far?
Agree with her or not she is straight to the point and has the experience to back it up.
Or those SWPL2 players are showing loyalty to their club and are getting ready for the pending re-start. Many of whom are training within guidelines.
There is also formal loan system unless you are on a pro deal...otherwise it’s simply a “gentleman’s agreement”.
"What does it say about the players themselves? They’re sitting at home playing on their PlayStation just now rather than come, and they don’t want to play in SWPL 1."
Strong words from @Farmington_FC boss Kevin McGreskin ahead of the game with Rangers
anyonesgame.substack.com/p/k…
A really tough day for everyone involved. Absolutely not through lack of effort or commitment to the cause, the players have given everything this year and stuck together.
We won’t be down for long, never write us off #accies 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
Massively proud. It’s been such a great start to the season, we are very unfortunate not to be going through.
We could have collapsed in extra time but the players dug deep and found a way.
We’ve fallen just short, but we go again Sunday.
To the fans today, we heard you ❤️🫡
What a wild day but glad we can give the support something to cheer about and @GaryDoctor1 and @GardinerMT the deserved send off the warranted.
Legends.
Unfortunately we didn’t have quite enough this season but the players deserve all the plaudits taking things to the last day.
Every one of them gave their all.
It hurts because we care, but we will be back!
Thank you for all the support shown to us, it means so much ❤️
Full Time | Accies 0-3 Montrose
Despite giving our all, defeat will see us play in SWPL 2 next season.
Thank you for your support all season, we heard you ❤️

I know lots of people worked hard to get this to a 45min show and have a proper highlights show.
3rd week in a row of 30min programme.
Minimal discussion. Padded out interviews to fill time as a consequence.
What’s changed when the viewing figures have gone up on last year?
🔴 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 ⚪️
Goalkeeper @emmathomson_1 has been nominated for @SWPL Player of the Month.
Emma, who is only 16, is the youngest nominee since the start of the current SWPL award.
SWPL 2 raging away for the last 4 weeks in a race going to the absolute wire, 4 big recognised teams involved, yet absolutely no peep from mainstream media.
Tonight the big media guns are out. Pretty disappointing.
First half of the season done, 11 wins & 1 draw from 13League games, knocked out a SWPL 1 team in the Scottish Cup, took another to penalties in the LC and only one defeat in 90min.
A long way to go but the players deserve huge credit 🤝
Let’s keep carrying that luck 👀🤣
Full Time | Gartcairn 2-3 Accies
Accies win in the most dramatic of circumstances after being 2-0 down.
Sophie Townsley and @megannnquinn had brought match back to 2-2 within 5 minutes of the restart before #DerBomber@JosephineGiard sealed victory on the 87th minute.
And breathe 🤯🤯🤯
Personal Opinion - Rivalry aside, it was massive effort from both sides, watched by a great crowd, in a great venue, a top of the table clash yet no TV interest from Alba.
Disappointing considering the quality of player and game that was on show.
Full Time | Accies 2-2 Hearts
An incredible game here at New Douglas Park ends in a draw.
@GardinerMT and @nicholasturrock scored the Accies goals.

A huge thank you to everyone who attends and especially to the team of volunteers behind the scenes making things happen.
We aren’t the biggest club, but we have some of the most dedicated and loyal people attached to it.
They deserve every plaudit going for days like today.
🤩 @SWPL Attendance 6️⃣1️⃣1️⃣
👋🏻 Biggest attendance of the season so far
🎵 Young team in full voice
⚽️ A big match atmosphere
☕️ Hospitality sold out!
🔴 @AcciesWFCAcad teams having a blast
🤝 Both sets of players meeting fans
Thank you to everyone who attended todays match.
My time as @SWPL club rep has come to an end.
I’m proud to have worked hard for the engaged clubs over the last 3 years , especially over the COVID crisis.
I fought very hard for SWPL 2 under incredibly difficult circumstance around the funding for testing…
Class 2nd week of the @UEFA A Licence with the @ScottishFA.
Learning loads from @ritchiewils, Chipper and Alan as well as the group.
Off to retire the legs until May 😅

Congratulations @amy_anderson97@lynseyhogg@DionneB19150846 and Sophia on their award wins last night 👏🏻
A credit to @accieswfc_co_uk for their hard work, tireless efforts and dedication to being the best they can be. A fantastic evening!
Great to be back leading a proper contact session tonight! So much has happened personally since lockdown it’s just great to be back working with the players on the pitch.
We are coming for you SWPL 🔴⚪️
And breathe! 🤯
That one was for the supporters
- it’s been very tough already this season and your backing has meant so much to us all!
Enjoy your night 🔴⚪️
Full Time | Accies 2-1 Motherwell
Stunning Goals from #DerBomber@JosephineGiard and @ChloeMuir17 secure victory in the Lanarkshire Derby.
🔴 Lanarkshire is Red and White ⚪️
Congratulations @emmathomson_1 🧤
One of our big players last month and a richly deserved win for the league Player of the Month. Emma is a player who won’t rest on success and will continue to work to get better.
Nice to see some ‘keeper recognition which is often overlooked.
It’s taken longer than we maybe thought, but what a performance from the players today.
A lot of football to be played but all credit must go to this squad.
Now a big Cup Tie to look forward to.
Delighted to get this over the line and have Georgia join up with Liv and Erin.
Geo’s experience for such a young age is vast and she has been excellent at National Level.
More to come at NDP 🔴
🆕✍🏻 Welcome to Hamilton
We are thrilled to announce our 3rd summer signing, @ScotlandNT U19s and former Rangers and Partick Thistle defender / midfielder @georgia_gray06
Welcome to New Douglas Park, Geo 🤝
Congratulations to all our nominees @amy_anderson97@Kirstiemac8@ChloeMuir17@lynseyhogg and Sophia!
However I’m really pleased Gary has been nominated, one of the best coaches in the game - I have learned so much off the Boss in the last few years.
Massive amount of work gone into this by everyone but this is merely the start.
Delighted with today’s announcement and huge credit to Colin and George.
Brilliant to finish with a win 1-0 win v England! Incredible effort from the whole @ScotStuFootball squad. Fought tooth and nail to make sure there was only one winner 𗂭
Some way to celebrate 50 matches on charge!
Tremendous performance, brilliant way to bounce back from our last match and a deserved win.
Into the 🎩 for Round 4!
Full Time | Queen’s Park 1-3 Accies
Goals from @JosephineGiard, @Freyamac23 and Sophie Townsley secure a deserved win in todays @ScottishCup 3rd Round.

Despite being a bit yo-yo with my weight still, the decade has been generally favourable! It’s fair to say I wasn’t in a good place in 2010 & comfort eating / drinking was a way out.
Like most, I still have moments where life tests you but stay in the game and don’t give up 🙌🏻
Personal Opinion - Local Authority border restrictions on football don’t make sense.
A 32 year old parent can cross border to take their child to Team A under 13s for example.
Same parent cannot travel to Team A cross border to non contact train for their 1st team.
“The first time I took heroin, I hated it. But for some reason I went back.”
After battling addiction, football has helped Sarah in her rehabilitation. Football has changed her life – football has saved her life.
This is her inspirational story.
#SheCanSheWill
1 match off in entire SWPL so far due to COVID. Every ground we have visited has had protocols in place, ourselves have been very stringent on them at home. Yet here we are, cancelled.
Followed every rule & stressed endlessly to play football.
Kick in the teeth.
Big improvement on the SWPL Highlights show. Clearly work been done over the break which is all you can ask.
Much slicker and much more knowledgeable on the players / coaches. Great start.
With the greatest of respect to Celtic, they haven’t won a trophy for 7/8 years? City and Hibs have far stronger cases having dominated the game in recent years. And it will never happen much like men’s teams IMO. Plenty of other good stories also being ignored for this
Great first 3 days of the @UEFA A Licence with @ScottishFA Coach Education. Learning from one of the best in Alan Irvine here.
Some very tired legs but looking forward to getting going again on Monday.
#ScottishFACoachEd
2nd week of practical completed for the @UEFA A Licence with @ScottishFA.
Thanks to @ritchiewils, Alan Irvine and Chipper for their input and of course this brilliant group of coaches.
#ScottishFACoachEd
Best of luck to the big man heading home for an amazing opportunity.
Thanks for everything over the last 18 months, I couldn’t have done it without you especially at some really, really tough moments.
St Pats are getting a great coach and an absolute legend of a guy.
🔴 Staff Update
Assiantant Manager @IanDunney departs the club this week for a new role with St Patrick’s in Ireland.
An extremely popular person around the club and a fantastic coach, we all wish Ian the very best in this exciting opportunity for him.
An update on our Staff will be made shortly.
Grey hair and calf game on point 👨🏻🦳🦵
What a day, what a team, what a group of people, what a mental season but I will not miss SWPL2.
Bring on the big boys! 🔴⚪️
While narrow defeat is a hard one to take, Jeni and the players were brilliant in applying the game plan and what was asked of them. Even more so considering the Covid / injury problems we’ve had.
Big week ahead 🔴⚪️
After a very tough start to the season, it goes without saying a huge credit to the players for our 1st points this season. Massive 2nd half performance.
It’s easy to quit in tough times and yesterday said a lot about this squad.
Looking forward to our return after the break 🔴
Full Team | Spartans 2-2 Accies
A @JosephineGiard double in a excellent 2nd half Accies performance pick up our first points of the season.

Absolutely class and despite the result I hope Karen, the staff and players enjoyed the occasion.
Great to see the club embrace the tie (along with some others!) where others now and in the past just fold games…
Today’s attendance is an incredible 1031. This is a record attendance for a woman’s game in Inverness.
A big thank you to everyone in attendance at today’s game. 🔴🔵
Festive drinks with the Accies performance staff today!
Hard cash on @NathanMacallist being the first to fall asleep, @GaryDoctor1 to mop up at pool, @gk_stephenb to be late, @johnston_kerr to quote Oasis and @fionad4 to drink us all under the table 👀🍺🍸🥃🍷🍹
Incredible for @BarclaysFAWSL while in Scotland we look on with envy.

The end of another season. While it’s ultimately had a disappointing outcome, I truly believe we have improved as a squad and there is plenty still to come. The players have shown incredible commitment all year.

Congratulations @casper81ef signing off your career with a win. Top performance from the players and squad all season. A great group to work with #accies 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
Adult contact sport MUST be in here. A large part significant part of the population need this FOR their mental health and physical well being.
If the gyms can open then surely people must be allowed to take part in outdoor sport at a minimum.
I’ll give a #Covid update at 12 noon. I’ll report on progress & confirm we’re firmly on track for substantial re-opening of economy on 26 April. We’ve also been considering whether any earlier changes to support mental health & wellbeing are possible & I’ll update on that too.
𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬!
Congratulations to our 15’s NextGen squad on winning their category league title with victory over Kilmarnock today👏🏻
The team will be presented with the trophy at their final league match later this month🏆
Shoutout to our 2012’s who also stepped up 🔴⚪️
While not quite the result for Day 1 we wanted, I want to extend a huge thank
You to all the Accies support today.

Willing to finally concede 55 is ours! It’s been an awful 10 years as a supporter, so many false dawns, bad sides, terrible managers, charlatans in the boardroom.
My Dad said early on we would be back even in Div 3. My only sadness is he won’t see it.
#RangersFC
Magnificent support out for both teams tonight in the @swpl! Great to see so many people enjoying the match.

We can’t wait to do it all again in 2020!
There are certain people you can’t put into words how much they have done for a club, the players and people in it.
One of the ultimate unsung heroes in the Women’s game.
We were lucky to have him so long.
All best the Chisy 🤝
After 8 years, my time at @accieswfc has come to an end.
It was a hugely enjoyable period, where I devoted myself to coaching, analysis, scouting, social media and 1st team match day assistance.
During my time, I had the pleasure of working with some great coaches and more...
Congratulations to our 17s group and those 15s players supporting since January. A thoroughly deserved achievement after all the work from January 👏🏻
Commiserations to Kilmarnock who played very well today in which was an extremely tense and exciting match.
𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬!
Congratulations to our 17’s NextGen squad on winning their category league with a last-minute winner vs Kilmarnock!
A special mention to our 2010/11-born players who’ve stepped up brilliantly and played a key role throughout the campaign.
