One of the most prolific criminals in all of San Francisco tells @adam22 that “crime in San Francisco is over with” because of Flock cameras + drones. He complains that he can’t even do drivebys anymore. It’s simple: when the risk of getting caught is too high, crime plummets.

Today, we announce the Flock Alpha, the most powerful and fully American-made public safety drone response system ever built. Five years ago, I stood on the rooftop of my police station and imagined this moment. There is no better feeling than seeing a vision come to life (I do not have kids yet).

Flock + @FlyAerodome means the moment a license plate camera detects a stolen vehicle or AMBER alert vehicle, an Aerodome drone launches and arrives at the location in less than 90 seconds. This is huge.
We're excited to join forces with @FlyAerodome, the leader in Drone-As-First-Responder technology, in a strategic partnership that will integrate Aerodome’s DFR solution with Flock's crime-solving platform. Explore the possibilities of Flock + Aerodome: bit.ly/3zW6gDG

This is literally the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me. Quick, everyone reply to this thread with your least favorite thing about me to even it out.
Reflecting this morning on the achievement of my friend @rahul resulting in one of the biggest acquisitions in public safety with @Flock_Safety buying @FlyAerodome. Those who met Rahul know that he is a genius. Brilliant mind, visionary, and polymath. He was a cop and a paramedic. He knows every police chief in this country. His command of product details, the nuance is impeccable. He is hands down one of the greatest salespeople I’ve ever met. And he is a total nerd, who knows all the parts of every single type of drone. So with all that it is little surprise that Rahul had an amazing outcome and made a lot of money. But this is not what I am struck with the most. With Aerodrome, his second company in public safety and also with SPIDR Tech, which was his first, Rahul created wealth not just for himself but for so many - employees, advisors, and his investors. In addition to Rahul’s talent, what I am struck by is his incredible generosity. He didn’t come from wealth himself yet he created wealth for so many, and did it clearly and deliberately. With Aerodrome - Rahul put together the absolute dream team. He brought in the best and the brightest with ease because it is easy to follow Rahul, but he also did it with incredible generosity. Rahul kept splitting the pie because he knew his vision was massive, he knew the crew was so important, and he wanted to create wealth for others. Rahul embodies the American way. He embodies the way American capitalism and the best technology founders create wealth and elevate us all. I am so proud of my friend’s achievement and so grateful for his generosity. Bravo, Rahul!!!! cc @saarsaar @davidu @MichelleVolz @2048vc @a16z @CRV

Gangs are funded by criminality. More revenue means more capital to recruit new members and more violent conflicts with competing gangs. By refusing to enforce drug & theft laws SF & CA have laid the groundwork for years of this escalating violence. nbcbayarea.com/news/local/sa…
