it’s the principle of it. there were other ways of saying it & he shouldn’t have said it anyways especially as the weight of the word is very heavy amongst the black community. (nobody should be saying that word at all but us black people reclaimed it and turned it into something more positive for ourselves. it isn’t up to non-black people to decide wether or not a word used against us is/isn’t offensive).
he could’ve MAYBE gotten away with it if he didn’t dig a bigger hole with his recent tweets & “response” video, but now, he’s just looking for an excuse to say it & most of the stuff that he said in his most recent tweets come across as racist / concerning. digital footprint also exists! that clip alone moreorless the follow up tweets will probably ruin any opportunities he gets in the future & he struggles to understand this.

I made my point, it’s easier to not say it at all because at the end of the day, nobody should be saying that word (especially if you’re not black - I gave my reasons for this) regardless of context. Whether he meant it or not, it’s the principle and he was doubling down & putting sytho in a headlock for little to no reason in his response which is why this blew up more than it should’ve in the first place.
Let’s think about a timeline where he said the n word and he responded to the backlash saying “i’m sorry, i understand the weight of the word, i won’t say it again”. Nobody would give a shit, and if anything it’d just be funny in a year. Stop trying to enable poor actions from others because you’re starting to sound just as bad as him.

Lastly, if you are NOT black, you shouldn’t even have a say in this regardless, the same way I wouldn’t have a say on a racial term against asian people for example.
What people refuse to understand is that we take this shit seriously & we live in a world where POC get attacked & even killed for existing. This is happening right now in the UK & even though that is a far reach in comparison to this situation, we have to be weary of our surroundings & who we are around. It’s not because anyone is soft, it’s because this is a lot more serious than what most people can even comprehend.
I’m not hurt nor offended, but understand your place if you’re speaking on behalf of an entire race when you’re not that (in which i caught seeing most people doing on here defending this shit). I said what I said as a black man.
