You may have missed it, but TWO U.S. Automotive CEOs told people to GFY yesterday. @Elonmusk told a bunch of spineless virtue signaling execs to GFY in the afternoon talking to @andrewrsorkin However, someone beat him to that. Earlier in the morning Mary Barra told U.S. taxpayers to GFY after deciding to bail out her shareholders & her c-suite with a massive $10B stock buyback as a reward for poor performance and their inability to make and sell a compelling EV. This is AFTER $GM just received BILLIONS in taxpayer $$ from the DOE to speed up their EV battery plans. They also received taxpayer funding for Battery plants in Canada to the tune of $220 million. They had promised for years to have “30 new EVs by 2023” Those plans have now effectively been abandoned, same as all their other pie in the sky EV plans they’ve been promising and delaying (over and over) for a decade. $GM stock was $39 when Mary Barra took over as CEO. It has been dead money for a decade. In 2021 Mary made this statement live on CNBC "General Motors can "absolutely" catch Tesla in U.S. sales of electric vehicle by 2025" This and similar statements were repeated by her for the past 5 years. This is what happens when you decide to go with “fake it, till you make it.” Why isn't there more outrage over this buyback from the gov and UAW or the public in general? GM cost the US taxpayers over $11 BILLION from the last time we bailed GM out. Canadian taxpayers lost $3.5 billion. Shouldn't our elected officials be putting more pressure on Government Motors to ensure they don't end up in the same spot they did before? #MaryLed 🤡 $tsla

Thanks to all the positive replies & warmth. I posted this from bed last night before dozing off. Not possible for me to reply to all but to answer a common question: What caused you to switch? To be honest I don't even really like talking politics at all. I mainly post about stocks & fight the FUD that haters & shorts create about @elonmusk, @Tesla the company and $TSLA the stock since 2017 or so. I'm not here to be popular I don't care about follower #s and I'm not selling anything. I don't mind losing followers if they don't wanna see this stuff, and I don't blame them. I know most people (most of my previous followers anyway) DON'T want to see or talk about politics. I'd rather not be talking about this stuff myself but I feel it's important for more people who are in the middle but lean left, like me, to speak up and push back on the DNC's BS. I've recognized the problems going back to when the DNC pushed Bernie aside and appointed Hillary. It's just become so much more blatant in the last 4 years. Like Elon I voted for Biden, but I've been hypercritical of the his admin and the other Dems attacking Elon starting from year 1 of Bidens term. Biden giving Mary Barra the credit that Elon and Tesla employees should have received for revolutionizing the entire auto industry with his EVs. The ridiculous lawsuits. Biden admin denying Bobby secret service detail requests repeatedly even after he had MULTIPLE breakins to his home. Watching Bobby get sued by the DNC repeatedly trying to keep him off ballots, him being denied access to the debate stages. Tens of millions of $$ that should have been spent toward his campaign but instead it went toward frivolous lawsuits and paying for his personal protection out of pocket. The MSM being used nonstop as DNC propaganda. Just so many blatant in your face, easily disproved lies, all because they feared RFKjr so much. They were right to fear him, but their decision to cheat in the face of that fear was a mistake of epic proportions. I'm just sick of it. I was always in the middle but most often voted Dem, I cant see myself EVER voting Dem again. I don't understand why more people aren't up in arms over having candidates jammed down their throats, especially candidates like Kamala who performed so poorly in her 2020 run, who was the most liberal Senator on record, and who was seen as the worst VP in modern history.
