I understand this is a painful topic.
It's a cartoon about messaging. Both sides of the diagram are problematic.
But for men: Forget the right hand side for now. Think what it would be like to have to continually modify your behaviour to avoid harassment.

And if we're going to enable people to change the way they travel, there needs to be huge investment in alternatives to the car. Make it safe to walk and cycle in cities, traffic-free cycling routes from town to town, invest in rail not road.

- The places in the world that are safest to cycle also have the lowest rate of helmet use.
- I usually wear a helmet as my faith in drivers is very low.
- Making helmets mandatory is bad for public health as a whole.

Just had a chat with my local (Conservative) councillor, who was cutting back undergrowth on a footpath. Tells me his maiden speech to the council was about cycling, because I wrote to him about it during the elections. Worth keeping on writing to your local politicians.

Cutting the UK aid budget isn’t the right thing to do. Diagram:
The cut in the aid budget - made worse by no set date for restoration - is shameful and wrong. It’s contrary to numerous Government promises and its manifesto.
I join others in urging MPs to reject it for the good of the poorest, and the UK’s own reputation and interest.
