Guys... 1. we observed @ton_blockchain is having several events across the world, there are either few or none that we know of taking place in Nigeria or at least the African continent, so it is either the TON Foundation runs TON like a Cvlt and is R@c!st... or 2. the TON MAXIs or TON OGs from our hemisphere, I mean the likes of: @damxton @0xweb3bond @Kcywayne and the rest who live and breathe TON like their lives depend on it is not doing enough, are not recognized enough for their efforts in pushing TON/Telegram mini app projects in this region or they are just disregarded in the TON Ecosystem. Or It could be a combination of 1 and 2 above. As observed by several others in this space, TON seems to favour projects by only those in their inner circles, several utility projects that actually deserve attention are not talked about (enough) by them and their proxies, examples like @pocket_fi @aquaprotocolxyz @TONSquare_io @Duck_Chain etc The statistics of TON/Telegram userbase shows Nigeria/Africa comes around the tops, even @pixelverse_xyz had an event in Lagos Nigeria attracted by the likes of @connectwithtola and @nwabishop though they have been into crypto before the emergence of TON (Telegram as a superapp) and Pixelverse. Yet they hosted one of the most elaborate events in Lagos Nigeria, the project was quickly bashed by @s0meone_u_know who has since lost his voice of community with other TON/Telegram projects that have done worse. Now asides BITCOIN and Ethereum, TON Blockchain is in my opinion the most expensive and slowest blockchain on the planet with many major recent downtimes as well, failing to deliver on their much advertised 100K TPS, low gas fees, etc The @ice_blockchain is touted as a fork and improvement on TON, I honestly hope they deliver, I'll be watching them with keen interest! On top of that, the @telegram app directly under the supervision of @durov has been very busy suspending accounts of people in this geography and withholding the funds in their @wallet_tg Worst of all the Nigerian/African TON MAXIs or TON OGs or TON/Telegram community personel @s0meone_u_know to the best of my knowledge has never brought up the issue. This is appears to be a case of Telegram deliberately targeting accounts with decent amounts of funds in their wallet and suspending them for no reason, come to think of it... If a user is banned from telegram for any reason that is not a crime by a government, merely a breach of the TG rules, why not dismiss them from the TG platform but return the funds in their wallet to them? At least if they constitute a nuisance to the platform, give them their funds to move on with their lives. As if this spite by TON/Telegram is not enough, look at other chains like @ethereum @base @Coredao_Org @SolanaFndn @dfinity (ICP Blockchain) @SeiNetwork and even projects like @core_custodian (has registered in Nigerai and has had events in Taraba State) with dedicated funding options for Africa, dedicated officials for Nigeria or African countries, etc Conclusively, I hope in my lifetime, blockchain inter-operability becomes possible, as this is the real game changer for this technology. I admit that TON/Telegram is pushing the boundaries of innovation, adoption and interaction... There is a lot to be done by them to make users stay on TON/Telegram.
