I'd encourage anyone who thinks Oilers fans are overblowing the Howard add to consider our context (suffering), lol.
Look at how many potential top line complimentary wingers we've drafted and kept since Jordan Eberle in 2008.
Very few -- even Holloway only had a crazy DY+1 by this age, where Savoie and Howard have put up multiple years ~that good.
Yamamoto fizzled out, Puljujarvi's development was bungled, fans were screaming to draft Caufield/Boldy/Zegras, etc etc.
We've been starving for winger talent since Hall and Eberle got dumped, around 2017. Crazy for a contender to have such difficulty drafting/attaining young winger talent.
We aren't asking for a Celebrini, no no noooo. They don't have to drive the bus, McDrai will do that.
We are just elated to have two potential real complimentary wings with some talent, in-house! (Who could also provide better than well-below-average finishing, and 50-60 points with McDrai).🤞
Plus, it's pretty cool that Howard wanted to be here so bad as a full-blooded American, and that Savoie is a hometown boy. Very rare.

Here's what I've seen on my timeline in the last 24 hours.
- tons of Oilers fans ripping on the refs for allowing a series of infractions to escalate out of hand, and didn't do their job
- former players and media members mostly agreeing; basically all acknowledging Garland saying he was just trying to stop the best player from scoring, and some happy that McDavid stood up for himself
- tons of Canucks fans absolutely ripping McDavid for being a "crybaby", the dirtiest player ever, etc. etc.
I've never had such a gross time on this app as watching the comments from VAN fans. Especially when the main issue here is reffing, and both teams had a player cross-checked in the face.

Huge adds to a cap strapped team in need of real upside. I'm very impressed frankly.
Quinn Hutson is an unbelievable signing by the Oilers. I saw him 83 times. A little on the small side as a winger. I’d have modest question on his ability on the walls against pros.
That said he’s a very fast paced player who’s an excellent passer with a pro level shot.
