The British called Revolutionary War hero Francis Marion the “Swamp Fox” because they could never catch him. For 182 years, Marion County has lived up to the spirit of its namesake, building, rebuilding, adapting, and growing along the way.
Today, I was honored to present the County Board of Commissioners with a flag from the U.S. Capitol in celebration of America’s 250th Birthday.
