i think this statement from 3 months ago directly on their site is pretty clear and openAI is just choosing to ignore / weakly enforce.
I'd even argue that in an LLM world (when a site post can be read by an agent just like robots.txt) the need to protocolize such a thing is even less useful.
I like the promise of story, I see the value for smaller creators with less resources/legal and scaled attribution. But i find it disingenuous and distracting to say 'story solves this' when it really really doesn't

I spoke with an aid worker from the Danish Refugee Council who uses a crypto payments company to send funds to Sudan, which is experiencing the worst famine since the 1980s and a collapsed central bank from the war.
He literally teared up on the call, saying that he is able to get funds into the hands of individuals on the ground in hours rather than months, and they get 25% more in their pocket vs. using traditional rails which are littered with fees and FX markups.
Zoom out - the technology is useful and adoption is happening.
