To avoid any confusion about the previous post. We are obviously not rolling over. LibrePlex is a bit like @toly 's muscle car. It goes fast and straight ahead - we've got a tight execution plan and we're sticking with it. And to be 100% clear, inscriptions are a key part of that execution plan. However, we DO welcome competition / alternatives. And so should ANY project that calls itself open source in this space. It's the only way the community can have a voice. That's why we'll NEVER build fees into our protocols or introduce non-permissive licensing. It's all open, all MIT, all LibrePlex and all free. The road ahead is clear. Hit it.

DMs have been on fire asking about the impact of the recently introduced Metaplex mint fees. Queries are coming in thick and fast across the ecosystem, with launch pads and DAOs looking for clarification. A quick comparison of a 10k mint on the two standards here:

A few of us in Solana (esp techies) expressed doubts about SPL-20 in the early days. However a few things are clear: 1) Fair launch is a pretty cool thing 2) Volume is phenomenal 3) NFT<->SPL bridge is getting a LOT of use Degen meets Defi. What an amazing journey.

LibrePlex Fair Launch base contracts have been pushed out to github. They integrate the tech from last week's token launches. Validation done at mint time. Eliminates the need for an external validator. No base fees = it's on Libre, it's free. Details to follow!

Congratulations to @metaplex on the inscriptions standard they have released today. Especially congrats to @blockiosaurus for shipping like a steamboat as usual. As a community, we should always be evaluating better, more cost-efficient, and more open protocols that help the ecosystem grow and create equal opportunities for everybody who builds on top of those protocols. Inscriptions are just a small part of the new and emerging Solana ecosystem. They are a stepping stone into something much bigger. Most of the key players in Solana Ecosystem have already joined this journey. We are glad that Metaplex has chosen to do so as well. Ultimately it is down to the community to decide which (or both, or neither) of the protocols it wants to support in the long run. No protocol or team should be a gatekeeper. We're only paving the way for a fairer, more open and permissive Solana that fosters more grassroots innovation and more fun. Because that's what web3 is all about.

Dear all - Libreplex RPC Node had to be taken down due to a large number of connections building up this morning. We also have 189k inscriptions!! This number of accounts is starting to place stress on the infra, but will investigate and figure something out! Stay tuned

** FINAL IMMUTABILITY, ZERO FEES FOR LIFE & COMMUNITY AUDIT ** We are now at 1.3 million Solana Inscriptions. That places a weight of responsibility on the maintainers and collaborators in the LibrePlex standard. It has always been the goal to achieve full immutability for the key LibrePlex protocols. Adopting a protocol is a strategic decision with long-term consequences. You CANNOT CHANGE THE RULES once people are already playing. In particular, that means fees / other fundamental changes cannot be introduced post-adoption as that would fundamentally break the trust that the adopters have placed in the protocol. It is for this reason that we need ZERO-FEES IMMUTABILITY as soon as it is safe to do so. With stability and predictability in mind, we are today commencing a COMMUNITY AUDIT. We have applied for grant funding for the audits - if such funding is received it will be used to offer bounties for findings bugs and vulnerabilities. Details to be released in due course. We are also considering a third party audit in parallel as needed. However, as Linus Torvalds put it: "Given enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow" It is our hope that in a fully open-source setup, a community audit will in fact produce a result superior to a traditional, centralised audit. Following the community and/or third party audits, we are targeting 31 March 2024 as the final immutability date. This may of course shift depending on the finds of the audits. However, it helps the community to have transparency not just on the technology and the fee-structure but also the timelines involved.

Cannot overstate the importance of integrating inscriptions into the wider Solana ecosystem, with @tensor_hq leading the way! To be listable on tensor, we need a little indexing tool that will be added into the inscription browser in the next couple of hours. Stay tuned!

The Libreplex 2-way bridge allows seamless conversion of Fair Launch NFTs (example: SPL20s) into SPL tokens and vice versa. For any new SPL20 tokens launching on Libreplex, this will be enabled by default. After inscribing out the total supply, they can be seamlessly converted.

We're seeing pretty much ecosystem wide adoption for token-2022 Metadata. For asset owners, it's a quantum leap because you actually retain the ownership of your assets. No third party program grabs them or freezes them. It's doing what metadata should do, and not confusing metadata with ownership. For devs, it's beautiful to work with. Everything sits on a single account - no auxiliary PDAs. Apart from base metadata, there is also support for collections aka groups (rolling out around March). Multiple scanners already support T22 Metadata (at least @LibrePlex, @FluxBeamDEX and @nickfrosty 's latest). Degen marketplaces are jumping on the train as well together with DeFi platforms. Would be great if @JupiterExchange jumped on board though and allowed token-2022 fungibles on the strict list! What's really missing atm is wallet adoption - @solflare_wallet you should look into this. It's dead simple. Otherwise *somebody* will just have to push a PR into backpack :D

LibrePlex inscriptions has grown from 0 to nearly 500k inscriptions in less than two weeks. Recognising the impact, we have today reached out to audit companies for a full audit, with the goal of full immutability of the core inscriptions program. Details to follow.

So what is LibrePlex? LibrePlex is an organization made up of contributors who build open source protocols for solana. The group originally started out with a goal of building a free, open source alternative metadata standard for solana NFTs but grew out into building other protocols based on community feedback and demand. We are here to build and grow the pie for everyone in the ecosystem. Currently we have 2 protocol releases, with a third one on the way.

Re: trading on @tensor_hq . All new (post-70,000) inscriptions are automatically tradable. Older ones need to "migrate" which really is just adding an index. Click the little icon at the bottom left of any inscription you like. Anybody can do this. F ex @MarkerKid_NFT

To migrate your inscriptions so they can be traded on @tensor_hq - click on the migratory bird icon in the bottom left hand corner of the inscription you would like to migrate. You can migrate any inscription, whether yours or anybody else's.

When we started fixing libre two hours ago there were 189k accounts. When the UI came back there were 198k. It never stopped. And don't forget you can fork libre anytime and run your own UI. Would be nice to have a few spares for times like this. Any takers?

LIBREPLEX ROADMAP Phase #1 of Libre: Contracts - COMPLETE After a couple of hundred hours of coding and about 100 hours of conversations with stakeholders (defi guys, wallets, utility providers, launchpads and DAOs), the contracts are DONE.

CLAIM EXCESS RENT is now functional. If you have excess rent to claim, you can do so by viewing your inscription in the scanner by pressing a button under the order number. Minimum rent for inscription data is 0.07 SOL. This amount is used to calculate the max claimable rent.

Libre hackathon is live in discord atm. Sorting out custom deserializers for upcoming marketplace integration. Come join in!

Just completed indexing the first 450k inscriptions. If anybody is still trying to find things (goosalanas?) and needs mint ids - get in touch! This is not validation, just a list filtered by name. If you need validation, you need to use Fair Launch.

Token Splitter is live in Fair Launch. Allows you to convert any Fair Launch token into SPL tokens and vice versa. In many ways, this completes the SPL 20 journey and closes the circle. It also provides a way to fairly allocate SPL tokens in general. Details to follow.

SOLS stuff is displaying correctly now. They are actually inscribing TEXT on chain. Apologies for the previous tweet. There's stuff in there, just wasn't looking hard enough. The scanner displays it correctly. Always Check the Scanner!

We're at 804 inscriptions. There are tens of millions of NFTs out there so we're still very early. When onboarding your project, it's easy to keep track of the missing ones via the inscriptions interface.

Resizing an inscription downwards now automatically returns the rent as long as there remains at least 0.07 SOL in the inscription data account. Rent claim button (sent last night) still works in cases where you resized before the auto-refund functionality went live.

We are insaaanely busy :D I've disabled image previews in the gallery to give the RPCs a bit of time to breathe. Things will look like this for a while: Use the scanner icon to view your inscription - that little magnifying glass thingy below!

Carrying out final tests on the splitting framework. Should be out in the next 24 hours. Once testing is finished, there will be no restrictions. Each holder can decide whether to hold SPL tokens or the NFT. A fair launch is owned by the inscribers, not by the creator.

@goosolana - just confirming that your inscriptions have (mostly) been inscribed correctly. I'm sorting out the media types at the moment as there's an issue with displaying the SVG in the UI (see the screenshot), but the inscription data is solid. honk honk

@MagicEden - Would you guys consider adding display for immutable inscriptions? This would help a lot with trading inscriptions SAFELY. Happy to help out with the data structs. They're all easy to get and super indexer-friendly.

On the path to full immutability. Audits are starting next week. As part of this, going to add a new endpoint to inscriptions that only generates v3 configs. The old v1 endpoint will be retained for backwards compatibility.

Whoever is inscribing SOLs, make sure you write the inscriptions on chain - currently the inscriptions are empty. Hint: as long as the inscription remains mutable, you can always go back to the inscription view and resize + rewrite. Always check the scanner! (ACTS)

Please note that you cannot claim excess rent from or in any way alter an immutable inscription. That is by design. Immutability = fixed forever. When making the inscription immutable, this is the warning that is displayed. Please share.
