I joined Tesla to bring in agile, but quickly found out Tesla had a lot to teach. ABI-agile.com. My startup became the largest EV Race Team in Japan?

Fukuoka, Japan
ABB is a large international hardware company. ABB makes electric power systems, including a lot of the large electrical hardware at many Tesla Supercharger installations around the world. ABB restructured parts of their company, some of the product engineering parts and some of HR and other areas, to give the engineers more authority. The leader said they wanted real agile, where engineers don't wait to be told what products to build, but proactively try products in the market to find what helps customers and grows the company. That was 3 years ago. They wanted to re-energize the staff. They requested me to give a shocking, exciting, inspiring keynote about engineers as product leaders to reduce waiting and increase innovation. They joined from offices in Italy and Switzerland and I joined remote from Japan. I am so so grateful the ABB sponsors then let me share the recording publicly.

Elon has been right about every share price milestone so far. And he predicted a 25T market cap. That means the stock price has 17.24x to grow. If you put $100,000 in now, you are likely to get $17,240,000. When? Dunno. But likely. *not financial advice omg lol
Community note
$100,000 x 17.24 is $1.7 Million not $17 Million as the post states. There is an error in his math. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiplic

Get ready for a TSLA split. I don’t know when, but shares need to be affordable for the factory workforce. That’s what keeps the unions out- most union rules prohibit union members from owning employer company stock (idiotic I know). Unions block cross-functional workers (idiotic I know) which is key to Tesla’s fast problem solving style. Anyway, for the stock, the multiplier effect is gonna be pleasant. Merry Christmas.

This is the #JusticeBoard that replaced what most companies think is management. The analyst apologized, after taking my #JoeDX class they realized their assessment did not put any value on #PaceOfInnovation, #ProductPipeline, #LowCostToChange, or even company track record. It was solely based on recent public sentiment including mainstream media influence.

How to get legal approval for many small releases in hardware and software? First, it is possible. Tesla has daily updates in automotive, SpaceX in aerospace, Neuralink in medical devices, Boring Company in construction, X in pure software. Each time, I need to read the actual law, not a summary or article. So far, each time I read the actual law, agile is allowed. Often agile is allowed but must be requested. The requesting application must explain how the agile deliveries will meet the same or better quality, safety, and traceability needs. This extra work is more than enough for most companies to give up and continue enforcing waterfall. That allows the companies that do the extra work and use agile to be much, much faster. SpaceX is the fastest growing aerospace company of all time, with 1,000 changes in hardware in 69 days. Www.Abi-agile.com

But only 4% of the population believes in God or a supreme being. So, how does it work? It’s called Dotoku, a class in all grades, modeled by teachers, and supported by all public services. I just completed teaching 7 courses in a row, each in a different city in europe, on what I think I experienced working as an employee for Elon Musk. The Q&A and live audiences helped me clarify and understand more of what I experienced. It became very clear to me that the society, the social norms and politeness and work ethic, that should spread out to mars and beyond, is a product or service that must be intentionally developed or else only workaholics and 20 somethings will drive out among the stars leaving a lot of civilization confused, left out, and maybe bored. I tried some updates to Wikispeed.com and even Wikispeed.jp (because I now live in Japan to make use of the politeness and safety trained into the culture through the government mandated “dotoku”, or “ethics” curriculum). These updates are thinking out-loud and still becoming formed. Maybe they intrigue some of you? Wishing everyone another great day!
