Not sure Red Bull & McLaren have standing to appeal. Goes to the ICA & follows the FIA Judicial & Disciplinary Rules (ISC § 15.1.5). JDR § 13.1.1(a) limits appeals to “addressees of [Steward’s] decisions” & those “that have a legal interest to act….” 1/
Both @redbullracing and @McLarenF1 have filed a notice of intention to appeal against the decision to reinstate @PierreGASLY. It's a first step and buys time as they try to get their P3 and P4 back: crash.net/f1/news/1097670/1/…

Bearman expected Tsunoda to take the line Bearman took when Sainz passed him on lap 2. Tsunoda, not wishing to be overtaken, took a different line—similar to but more effective than Antonelli’s—& successfully defended. Doing so was, clearly, a war crime.

Tsunoda is being so hard on himself, but he’s so close. It’s only been three weeks. Look at how Sainz & Hamilton have been struggling to adapt to new cars with much wider operating windows. Realistically, Yuki is right on schedule—probably a bit ahead—and doing great.
🗣️| More from Yuki after the Quali: "It's really frustrating. When I try to push harder, there are a lot of snaps that I can't predict. It's really hard to know where the limits are." "In Q3, where it all depends on the race, I was able to push to the limit in VCARB and squeeze out a little bit of time. But now I just can't find the limit and I just can't put the laps together." "I don't want to say I'm struggling at this stage, because it's only the third race, not 10 or 20 races, but it's hard to put a lap together right now. It's just a general feeling of unpredictability." (via motorsportJP) #YT22 #SaudiArabianGP

This confirms that Bearman is wrong. Weird corner complex with a right feeding into a left turn, a short flat bit, & then another left turn. Tsunoda turned left for L1 & then turned more sharply left at L2 to defend. All left—no change of direction. #USGP
Happy to discuss this—& it’s hard to assess absent Tsunoda’s onboard camera showing his wheel—but it looks like Yuki didn’t change directions defending vs Bearman. He was turning one direction, then made the angle more aggressive—but in the same direction the whole way. #USGP
