My grandmother, Ioanna Konstandeli passed away early this morning in Athens, Greece.
There’s so much to say about her I don’t know where to start. She helped raise us. Has always been there. She started working at a very young age always practical, strong 💪.
RIP 🤍
Graffiti like commemoration to the once prosperous and bustling Jewish community of #Thessaloniki who were persecuted and deported the city’s past is very rich, diverse but also serves as a reminder of what hate speech and nationalism can lead to.

Through snow ❄️ and metro delays we did get together for breakfast at the press club to have a talk and a think about what more we can do for female journalists to just be able to do their jobs !
More ideas welcome 🙏

Family-owned Seattle Times says "Hell, Yes!" in endorsing Harris, throwing shade at owners of WashPost (and LAT and USA Today) for recent decisions not to weigh in editorially. h/t @martinkaste
First 20 pages of this starts with a ‘head strong’ woman bout to discover what happens next (she’s already ticked off a sales assistant and bought Color’s that don’t match…) recommend

She has a VE Day copy of the paper archived she plans to reproduce when the war ends 📰

Burning down the house 🏠
It’s been a while since I wrote something but fire 🔥 and climate change are constantly on my mind. The amount of biodiversity lost & damage done is staggering by any and all fires 🔥
