Because everyone on twitter's been asking to see Neve's UN id, staff here whipped one up.
I wish I could have captured the startled look on a Japanese delegation inside UN yesterday who walked into a meeting room in the middle of a nappy change.
Great yarn for her 21st.
A year ago today @winstonpeters made a bold call that changed EVERYTHING. We watched on TV like everyone else, except I pointed a camera the other way. Here's a before and after thats never been seen.
What an incredible year it has been, what a year ahead.
Welcome to the ride.
Hey NZers please watch/listen to the address at midday today for latest Covid update.
Thanks to everyone asking after us, we are fine, bit tired and someone's not seen much of her mum lately but otherwise sweet as. #WashYourHands
It's not everyday you see Wonder Woman being told off by a Prime Minister for sneaking out of the house to use her new trampoline, but these are the crazy times we live in I guess.
Spare a thought today for anyone suffering a form of cognitive dissonance causing dismay that the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff is empty because the fence at the top is working.
Torn between letting the 1st birthday girl continue to maul this amazing gift or putting it somewhere safe FOREVER.
Happy Birthday Prince William, what a great shared birthday (I'm pretty sure you win with this)
Not going to lie, tough last few weeks here. Candles burnt well into the night, morning alarms sounded ridiculously early.
But honestly seeing thing things like this, a physical example of our collective efforts, coupled with only 1 community transmission yesterday is 👏👍💃😻
Thank you for the concerned messages about how tired i look (fair call). Seems 'someone' is determined to maintain nzt. We've watched so much bad late night tv together that her mum came out at 2am and busted us watching cage fighting in our underpants.
Ok NYC.

Watch: New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern barely skipped a beat when an earthquake struck during a live television interview Monday morning ti.me/3gjYq8B
New Zealand’s Jacinda Ardern Continues TV Interview During Earthquake
I'm not immune to the chatter and I feel I need to front foot the fact that yes; I've grown a beard, to fit in, in Wellington.
Feel free to drop pin me good craft beer locations, I want the whole experience.
Someone in our house has suddenly become a Sevens expert. Sample commentary: 'Pass it to Portia, pass it to PORTIA, PASS IT TOOO PORT.... aw na, just go yourself girl.. YESSSSSSS'
Ive traveled remotely requiring vaccines a lot for work,so getting 1 more seems, & is, as normal as taking Neve for all her immunization shots. Watching each person stand & thank staff after their 20min obs. period felt like such a kiwi experience for a greater good. Community as
Good to see the New Zealand parliament flying the Ukrainian flag today in support of it's brave people. We stand with Ukraine during this senseless immoral invasion.
Have had some impressive metrics back from the UN trip. Jacinda's speech was the most viewed speech of any world leader on the official UN channel and 'those pictures' were viewed more than 195 million times across online platforms worldwide.
Having seen the constant stream of letters from kids on banning plastic bags and knowing the effect that had, dont let anyone tell you your voice isn't important. Get bloody stuck in today kids. Wear any punishment like a badge of honour.
Is it Kãkã mating season? They seem to be going full Chris Hipkins in the backyard at the moment. I've never seen so many, totally NOT socially distancing.
HB today Dad. Thanks for teaching me how to fish & for my name, taken from your middle name, which was taken from your fathers name, which was from his fathers name.
We should really talk about that letter hitching a free ride though, making us look all fancy & above our station
There must be a word for when you are lying wide awake but your baby's still asleep and you are filled with 50% joy and relief at this sleeping miracle. But also 50% sheer terror and crippingly worry that she's actually ok.
Hi @NewshubNZ Absolutely not a lashing, and still not married, but thank-you for amplifying the Vaccine message.
Best of luck to anyone actively engaging with those who might need a nudge over the line today. Your personal connection is one the best tools we have. Kia Kaha.
Amazing the curios picked up on the campaign trail. This wee gem of a gift was slipped onto my pillow so I won't miss her too much while she's out getting it done and I'm home stocking up on 2L milks.
So sorry to interrupt, but you guys know voting opens in NZ tomorrow right??
Find the booth closest to you here, & lets get it done.

You know those tight All Black games where it looks even until the last 20mins when we pull away & win convincingly?
Today NZ got the scoreboard even, but it's our collective action over this next period that determines what our last 20 is going to look like.
*0 new cases today*
To people outside of NZ, this is a captured moment from a bar (11:59pm Mon) showing the moment our Covid restrictions lifted, making us now a country enjoying some of the least restrictions in the world.
The hard work's payoff, celebrated here with pure human joy. Fantastic.
In making NZ a better fairer place, a big congrats to the NZ Government for officially passing/changing more legislation in the last 7 month period than any government has FOR THE LAST DECADE.
Imagine if the job was full time eh.
NZ haz talents, a THREAD.
I feel bad that I haven’t started an IG account showing off the amazing handmade goods that our spoilt Nevester has received these last 2 years. Knitting like you wouldn’t believe. The warmest kid at the playground. Stuffed toys 4 days.
However 1 fav...
Ok judgey Twitter here it is.
First she wanted Moana, then Frozen, then Mickey Mouse for her birthday cake. So I came up with a plan to make all 3 using a bit of trickery I had up my sleeve.
#Happy3rdbirthdayNeve#Fondantsucks
Ah yes of course it was the 2 finger bum tap while rocking just off 180 degrees with light on dim and white noise rolling waves on beach not waves on rocks mind you, and only if turned to the east.
That. finally. induced. sleep.
It seems so obvious now as i lay here SO AWAKE👀
I have to take responsibility for this, I didn't get organized and book anywhere. Was very nice of them to chase us down st when a spot freed up. A+ service.
Big thanks needs to go to the students and families of Papatoetoe High who successfully completed 14 days of iso today, helping keep the rest of us in NZ safe as houses. Special mention to th communication of Principal & staff sending out over 70,000 messages to students & whanau
Cannot get enough of the 2.5yr old logic being thrown about in our whare.
-Dad?
-Yes?
-Horses don't have fingers they have hooves.
-Yes that's right.
-....... so ...... that's ..... why Humptys horses couldn't put Humpty together AGAIN!
To all the NZ Muso’s who have put themselves on the line by speaking up for the vax, I know its not been easy given some of the miss-educated noise you’ve faced.
I just want to say that I see you, and I am keeping receipts.
Your support will not be forgotten.
#SuperSaturday
Really sad to report that the stranded baby orca Toa has passed away. Thoughts to all those volunteers and DOC staff who put in countless hours to give it the best shot possible. It's comforting to know it had company and was well cared for till the end. RIP little dude.
And welcome back to NZ - lol. Here's some other bottom feeding fish who I'd never met which feature as breaking news this weds 8pm on Prime TV, FISH OF THE DAY. - in the stunning COROMANDEL.
Neve's received a steady trickle of sweet gifts from a huge variety of world leaders, which I would mostly describe as safe & traditional.
That was until this just turned up from the PM of St Lucia!
Seems to work perfect with her Gissy outfit @Amanda_Gillies
Yes Mon!!
This arrived with a nice note from a workshop in a retirement village in Orewa. Thanks Murray!!
We are not far off putting it to good use as the little rug wriggler's coordination is fast catching up to her travelling ambitions.
While not quite at dawn in a post pandemic world, the arrival into NZ today of the first batch of vaccines is a positive click past midnight.
An incredible amount of work went into securing these, rewarded with an arrival ahead of schedule, a massive effort all round.
in a rare fleeting moment of light, proof eternal that you can take the gurlz guy out of Gizzy......... but you can't stop some of that rubbing off.
Proud.

#WATCH The Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was asked to demonstrate the East Coast wave.
The PM, while announcing tough new border restrictions on Saturday asked people to, “Stop handshakes, hugs, and hongi ... the best thing we can do ... is to switch to the East Coast wave."
Had a significant security breach at Prem House last night. Made it past DPS and upstairs. Neve thought we'd finally got the new kitten she wants, mum was MUCH LESS IMPRESSED.
Released safely into wilderness, but seriously does anyone know what type of absolute unit this is??
THREAD.
Now that the dust has settled a bit are we able to rationally reflect on what exactly Sir John Key has added to the conversation and cause of our once in a generation pandemic response? Was there a single new idea that wasn’t already planned, discussed or in train?
Having been swamped with parenting advice I'm wary of oversharing, except to offer 2 things:
1. Quality time together really is the best.
2. When washed together, the velcro on your child's bibs will ruin your favourite lace underwear.
#EarlyMomentsMatter
Today NZ made a decision that paid more than hollow platitudes to being 'for the environment'. As much as I love being underwater, it's not somewhere I want to be permanently, so if not now.... when?
This is what leadership looks like and I'm bloody proud of her.
Waking from a wee jet-lag snozz on the living room floor to find myself choking on a large fridge magnet that had been put in my clearly open pie-hole, I can only conclude that a tiger has nothing on the dangers of an unwatched toddler.
ok, I think I've now got through what was a complete avalanche of really really lovely messages, apologies if I missed you, its whack-a-mole out here.
But thank-you, we couldn't be happier, - 'lets gone 2018' eh, -phew. 🍼🚼
regards
Grant Gayford.
Close personal analysis reveals a dad-bod as: 60% your childs leftovers, 40% getting them down for nap time and having the chocolates at the back of the pantry WHISPER YOUR NAME 🥱
Classic bait and switch.
Asked to 'help' bake the pie complete with earplug decoration, while the real plan was to get the rest of the homemade play-doh into dads slipper.
Through the noise it's often lost that NZ still remains one of the best places in the world to be.
Over 40k+ through quarantine, with just 1 case of transferred infection,(caught and contained by the systems design)
This is the best summary I've read.

Amongst everything else which is all consuming currently, to somehow find the extra capacity to negotiate what is an incredible deal for Kiwis, I couldn’t be prouder of Jacinda and the team, I do hope people realise what has been achieved here. Great work.

Amazing effort Auckland, Level 1 tonight! Given the difficult circumstances of this latest and most significant outbreak, it’s an unbelievable result really, bought about because of peoples collective community effort.
Through excess Covid deaths NZ is 1 of only 3 countries in the world where life expectancy has actually increased.
We also have 98% of teachers vaccinated.
But best of all my hometown is only 500 short of hitting 90% first dose.
Ka pai to all of this.
How old are you? Above/below 37? Now think about this bird buddy, out there doing it, catching oysters on NZ beaches, avoiding yappy off leash dogs for the last 37+ years. Trotting around tidal zones through atrocious weather. No sick leave, no overtime, just straight bird life.
Emily Roberts observed this variable oystercatchers (tōrea-pango) with an identifying leg band. Turns out, this beauty was banded in 1982 at Somes Island, Wellington. This makes our feathered friend at least 37 years old - lookin' good for an old bird!

Neve had a bleary eyed mum this morning who didn't finish this until 3am. Really proud of how it all came together, a day that started well with a positive call from President Biden.
Opinion - The APEC summit hosted by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern today might not have made splashy headlines. But it's a quiet success in many ways that matter, writes Geoffrey Miller.
