A dead persons. I’m personally on my fourth person’s ACL (My original, and three other people’s). I do wish I could have found out who I got my second one from and how they died tho. Cause like two weeks after the surgery I started have this extremely vivid and recurring dreams of dying in a pretty bad car crash and I had never died in a dream until then. Stopped have the recurring dreams after I tore that ACL and had it replaced with a new one.

I was “diagnosed” with Bipolar Disorder and ADHD when I was 19 still on my parents insurance. My provider at the time went out of her way to find medications that could be prescribed off-label and not need an official diagnosis and run into potential problems in the future and denied coverage. The ACA ended up being passed a few years later but I’m still grateful for that.

Regardless if someone has a disability an employer should be documenting any formal discussions with employees in regards to their performance. I’m the same age as him my wife is a year younger but if I was married to the 27 year old version of my wife now our lifestyles would not be nearly as compatible. We weren’t “partying” all the time at 27 but we’d still meet friends or family for drinks etc a few weekends a month or do some kind of activity and maybe “party” once a month. Spent almost a decade in retail and it is not normal to walk 20-30k steps a day for most people. My highest daily average for a year was ~12k steps a day but if I only look at work day averages it was more like 14-18k with the occasional 20k+ day. For comparison I got married in Vegas and a day of running around up and down the strip I only hit 24k steps. With in store/curbside pickup being more popular now I can see 20-30k steps not being uncommon at some of the super big box stores like Walmart or Target but definitely not normal at most retail jobs lol.

I can’t speak to this being the specific study it references but you can usually find the results from studies the government helps fund. Yeah “spraying rats with bobcat urine” sounds dumb on the surface but research into better understanding PTSD and alcohol use disorder which can lead to more effective treatment seems like something the government would benefit from due to the prevalence of both in our veterans.

Pictures show a nice little timeline of our first home that we signed the contract in 2015 closed end of 2016 for just under $300k for a new build. 3.5 years later right before Covid it went up ~$75k in value (which was reasonable) fast forward 2.5 years to when we sold it and it had gone up an additional $261,000 USD…
In less than 6 years the price more than fucking doubled. I promise the same people saying it’s financially irresponsible to spend $300k on a starter home would be bragging about how they’re financial geniuses if they were in my situation and spent $300k on a starter home lol. This isn’t something exclusive to women either. Men’s clothing can have similar effects. Look at the difference a tailored suit makes or even the difference a properly fitted t shirt can have. I can imagine there are tons of people who spent years saving up for a downpayment displaying the “grit” you say it takes to buy a home only who could have predicted a global pandemic and home prices skyrocketing making buying a house no longer an option even if they could afford the monthly payments.
