I've been waiting for over 28 days for a large vulnerability to be fixed in one of the largest apps on SOL
At this point, it's becoming a joke - I can't even get a response from their security team at this point in terms of update.

Firstly let's make this clear - Everything was reported for FREE in my spare time.
It was made clear to @Phantom multiple times i don't want payment, I just want the issue fixed!!!
I reported some even more serious Vulns about 6 months ago to @phantom which are still live and exploitable (again same excuse - they cant replicate) so bear that in mind while reading this

> Ignored for a month and not a single member of @phantom asked for further details or reached out

👋🏼 Ron here, Head of Security @phantom. First of all, I want to reassure everyone that security is our top priority at Phantom and that there is no vulnerability that puts user funds at risk.
The issue @CloakdDev is referring to involves being able to freeze a user’s Phantom app by sending it thousands of tokens. This issue has been never been exploited and is now completely remediated, but at various points this was the case for both fungible and non-fungible tokens.
In the case of non-fungible tokens, it was possible to crash the collectibles tab, but not affect the rest of the app, and certainly not affect user private keys or secret recovery phrases.
In the case of fungible tokens, it was possible to crash the app, and make it difficult for users to access their wallet without the help of Phantom support.
Both these issues were promptly remediated and never exploited. At no point were funds at risk of being compromised.
@CloakdDev had been in touch with our security team, and other members of the Phantom team, claiming that it had been possible to wipe private keys and secret recovery phrases from user devices using similar methods. Despite multiple outreaches from our team, he was not able to provide reproducible steps, and we have also not been able to reproduce this despite our best efforts.
Based on this, the finding was triaged to score CVSS 3.7, rated Low, and valued at $3,000. @CloakdDev if you can provide reproducible steps to your claims, we are happy to work with you and increase the size of the bounty offered.

The remote wiper vulnerability, etc., can be tested
now that you have fixed the SPL vulnerability, you just need to turn the ZK feature back on.

Did some digging on Backpack 🎒 - Hopefully can help the team prevent some issues tonight.
- Backpack APIs can be called without any additional ref checks, so easy to call outside the wallet
- API accepts header JWT token, so it is easy to call any API external to the wallet
- Users trying to use the UI are at a significant disadvantage to users automating from the command line or dev console
- Looks like the mint TXN requires auth signer, so APIs will most likely get hammered & DDosed to oblivion if the bots get their mints to prevent everyone else (I reported the same thing to ME back in the day)
- Rate limit currently set far too high for a legit user accessing the platform
- No auth needed on profiles means you can easily scrape every single user currently using backpack (With their wallets)
- Looks like Cloudflare turnstile is operating in the background, but again this could do with some tuning to make it more sensitive to both events.
- Unless "botting" is being determined by the amount minted in a given time frame, I'm not sure how they will determine who is a legit user minting inside backpack VS an automated script (not spam/flood bot) just minting through CLI with all headers set identically
Let's hope this bot detection is good as from these findings go, this will get botted to Valhallah.

This weekend i spent some time freshening up on my UI skillset while exploring potential $ORE implementations.
The Questions:
* Can we use the ORE contract to enable trustless, on-chain betting?
* What is the most straightforward on-chain implementation that would also allow non-crypto participation?

2. Users enter an amount to bet
3. Wait for the round to end & claim winnings
The nice thing about ore is you can essentially provide this for free by instead just claiming a portion of the refined ore as a fee rather than direct on the SOL bets.
