The anon founder listed April 5, 1975, as their birthdate on their P2P Foundation profile. This date is believed to hold symbolic significance:

💸1975: The year when the U.S. government lifted the ban, once again allowing citizens to own gold legally.
By choosing this birthdate, Nakamoto may have been drawing a parallel between the historical control over gold and the decentralized nature of Bitcoin, often referred to as “digital gold.” This choice underscores Bitcoin’s foundational principle of financial autonomy and resistance to centralized control.

The first stablecoin was BitUSD, launched in 2014 on the BitShares blockchain. It was an algorithmic stablecoin backed by crypto collateral rather than fiat currency, using a mechanism called a Collateralized Debt Position (CDP) to maintain its peg to the U.S. dollar.
However, the first widely adopted fiat-backed stablecoin was Tether (USDT), introduced in 2014 as Realcoin before being rebranded. It was backed by reserves of traditional currency, primarily U.S. dollars, held in bank accounts.
