Having worked on this for over a year I checked this extensively with a lawyer with 20+ years in the sports industry including representing fifa who went through each kit, badge, icon and player mark in our app.
We made appropriate adjustments and received their sign off that we are using our official data license fairly, are in a strong position, comparable to the myriad existing unofficially licensed fantasy sports platforms such as DraftKings.
But hey if you met a guy on CT who is worried I’ll ask them again

There’s a lot of dummies on this website that seem to think businesses making money = “extraction”
Question for all of said ppl - where exactly are the businesses going to make money other than providing services that people are willing to pay for?
Do we call McDonald’s selling hamburgers to hungry people extraction? No.
Do we call Pudgy selling plushies in Walmart extraction? No.
Do we call Hyperliquid making insane daily fees on bad perps traders extraction? No.
Do we call ico making money from infofi posting about Polkadot or any number of other projects extraction? No.
Do we call Disney making a movie and charging people to go see it extraction? No.
Do we call Nintendo making a video game and charging people to play it extraction? No.
So why, oh why, do we seem incapable of understanding that projects and teams that produce *entertainment* products are wholly within their rights to sell access or take fees without labelling it as “max extraction”?

Seen this too. What the copycats are is failed token launchpads who "pivot" by putting jersey jpgs on token tickers.
What people do not realise is this took extremely talented developers nearly a year to build, 6 months to test with community, and lived for about 8 years in my head.
This is 1,000x harder than these guys think it is. glhf
I hope you are right -- however, there are already a ton of copycats (this might be too harsh a term to use) eyeing your success and entering the market with lower fees (but also not as good products) - anyways, long-term success is in mass adoption (and fees will matter here)

As a kid I used to play a lot of games, mmos like Warcraft.
I made a group of friends, levelled to the very top and were always amongst the top competitors in the game no matter what. All the toughest challenges, badges or achievements - we’d be amongst the first to get them.
Around us, unnoticed, were mindless zombies who did nothing except farm gold alone. Technically they were more efficient per hour. Yet they fought no great battles. Claimed no scalps from their enemies. Experienced neither victory nor defeat.
I am still friends with that same group after 20 years. And almost every single one has become an even better version of themselves.
Where are the farmers? Nobody knows because nobody remembers their names.
The lesson, as Jesse suggests here, is to do something meaningful with our lives and not be a bunch of cucks.

One thing I love the most. Not many crypto apps get people strategising and thinking like this. Higher.
An update on my @sportfun holdings & some thoughts in hindsight:
We have hit new lows when it comes to squad value as well as overall market cap.
I definitely made some mistakes in the first week with my strategy.
- I am completely off-side on the strategies I want to execute now because I bought top on most players.
- Have to wait to get break-even on some of these players so I can target players based on their fixtures.
- Currently not enough defense, need to have more exposure to that.
- Also need to target other leagues more because sometimes you might get most TPs from players outside PL & La Liga.
Anyway, I guess now I have sit patiently & wait hoping that these bunch of players give me enough TP to open packs. The way I see is it will get me a few GWs before I can open an epic pack which would get me anyway between $500-1K if prices don't fall even more from here.
Gotta enjoy some football now.

Hey david - I had a different experience here with football.fun so just sharing.
We joined Base early and indeed got very little support. But that’s because we hadn’t done anything yet.
Leading up to our launch when Base saw we had a serious product they started getting more interested. When we broke out in August and did major revenue and volume the support ramped up and it feels like it will be consistent as we scale,
My take is that support is absolutely not equal but if you earn it then it will come. This is markedly different from other chains who will try to pick winners and support a launch.
I don’t think as founders we should be relying on chains to launch or bring users to our product. If your product is good enough and your marketing is good enough users will come to your chain for you.
Then if you are pulling liquidity and users to Base you are more likely to get more support.
I do think there is/has been an over focus on creator coins and I’ve raised this point with them myself
