Bottom line is she treated Trump like normal, legit candidate, not one who tried to blow up our democracy and faces 91 felony indictments. Not just irresponsible journalism. Downright dangerous journalism to legitimize this guy- in the name of having a “ talked about” premiere.
is it Trump's first network interview "since leaving office," or since he violently tried to overthrow the government?

I’m past point of understanding why coverage of most abnormal candidate in US history is so bent on normalization. But there’s no argument anymore. They’re doing it. Even tho I’m sure they recognize disaster will befall their country if he’s elected. The why utterly baffles me.

Writing this is profoundly humiliating, but can you imagine even THINKING this? Praising the peaceful transfer of power--the bedrock of American democracy--is now a "political" viewpoint? It can ONLY considered so among ppl who don't believe in it.

The problem is the Right just does not care abt things like this, abt basic human decency. Biden has been caricatured in loony fringe media as demonic, so DeSantis can't perform most basic function of governor if it means being in VICINITY of Biden.
Dear Florida, Never forget today when it mattered most that it was more important for your @GovRonDeSantis to not be photographed with @POTUS Biden than it was to meet with the President of the United States about help for Florida. DeSantis is a POS. He always will be a POS.

Jon Stewart letting out all the pent up rage vs Trump & Fox News from Colbert's desk. Like the old band reuniting for greatest hits concert.

OReilly may survive cause Fox may ride out in thrall to money; but Emily has taken this dude down-will never be same
“I am coming after you with everything I have,” Mr. O’Reilly told me. “You can take it as a threat.” nytimes.com/2015/02/24/busin…

It’s an interesting conflict btw a never more read and now consistently financially successful news org ( with flaws, of course), and a man who has now lost more money than any other human who has ever walked the earth.
One account has lost its verification badge: NYT, for saying it wasn’t going to pay for it

WOW is that great. Not knocking the SNL cast to say: this guy ought to be Biden. Not only because he gets the voice+inflection+mumbly but sweet lack of clarity, but just the way he CAPTURES the overall personality. And makes it SO funny.
Dana Carvey’s Biden is A+. He’s so cool.

All this misses that DT IS the Repub party. He’s got 90% of R vote for a reason: his views are THEIR views. It’s ALL abt grievance: the culture, media, Immigrants, the “blacks” are all taking over their world, their status. R’s can’t disavow that+win. So they shut up-complicitly.
NEW --> Trump's push to amplify racism unnerves Republicans who have long enabled him My latest with @costareports on how Trump's Mount Rushmore speech crystallized his strategy to resuscitate his reelection campaign by weaponizing white grievance wapo.st/3gmdQIs

Unless I’ve missed it, no one on CNN or MSNBC tonight has noted that Trump took over the writing of the bogus release trying to limit the Russian meeting to the absurd issue of adoptions. That is kind of after the fact evidence of how much Trump knew abt the meeting.
