Previously, when sending a payment, there was only one route to the recipient. If it failed, the payment failed.
Now, recipients can open up to 20 routes (or “channels”) to receive money, making payments much more reliable, especially for large amounts. 🚀

The next step for crypto is to make payments instant and free globally.
This will take lots of work from all of us, Coinbase included, getting layer 2's integrated, better on-ramps, simpler UX/onboarding, etc.
A magic threshold would be getting the average payment under 1 cent and confirmed in under 1 second. I think we'd see orders of magnitude more payments move to crypto if we can achieve that.
Today, crypto has the *potential* to improve global payments infrastructure, but it hasn't yet delivered on that promise as we're largely still stuck on layer 1. Payments are like water, they flow to the path of least resistance.

Doppler is explicitly tailored for testing Lightning apps.
It enables users to experiment with and test against various Lightning implementations.
Doppler can be used for for discovery testing, inclusion in a comprehensive integration testing suite, or simply investigating the interactions between different components.
Internally, Doppler spins up a docker-compose cluster of docker containers. Each node is in its container and they all communicate over the same docker network.
It’s like having Lego blocks to assemble as you need.
Doppler is tailored to assist developers in testing Lightning apps of any size.
