Personal sharing moment: I suffer from chronic severe anxiety. This means my brain finds it difficult to establish actual threats from perceived threats. I am now transparent about this with my bosses, friends and family members but this wasn’t always the case. I was ashamed for a very long time and equated my self worth to chaos in my head. Mental health in this is space is taken so lightly. The distance a screen creates makes us forget there’s a human on the other side. Just had an amazing 12-hour sleep and cleared all my Discord and TG DMs. Now it's time for a Breakpoint recap, and I'm feeling a mix of emotions as I write this. Breakpoint is like a huge family reunion for me. It's a gathering of all the people I know or have interacted with, and also a chance to meet new faces joining our family for the first time. This year's Breakpoint was extra special because it had the biggest turnout of BOOGLEs ever. Some of these were the OG BOOGLEs, and for some, it was their first conference. I'm not kidding when I say @solBOOGLE is my family. I love those peeps from the bottom of my heart. I might get emotional as I share the events leading up to BOOGLE Amsterdam so bear with me. Last Breakpoint, we released exclusive merch for our holders, and we were blown away by the positive response from non-holders. @0xCelon and @earlyishadopter, our visionaries, saw the opportunity to create high-quality products that go beyond just being part of an NFT project but become a brand of its own. That's when the idea for the BOOGLE pop-up came to life. We wanted to showcase Solana artists, promote commerce on-chain with Solana Pay, and provide a space for holders and the public to enjoy top-notch items. When we chose the location, people asked why not have it at the main conference. The answer was simple: we wanted to introduce a great brand born out of NFTs to people who had never heard of crypt or web3 before. But the pop-up alone wasn't enough. We wanted more time to hang out and party with our friends, so we planned the BOOGLE Event. What started as a small gathering for holders and their plus ones turned into the best side event of Breakpoint. We carefully curated the best location, views, and group of people. Some asked why we didn't use Eventbrite or ticketing, but we wanted a personalized experience for each invitee. You are our friends, and you are special to us. There were many potential partners, but @MagicEden was the obvious choice. They have shown incredible dedication to the space and have proven to be the best of the best in the Solana community. I met so many wonderful people and reconnected with amazing friends. Shout out to the @SolHotGirlClub for showing up in full force at the BOOGLE event. Biggest hugs and love to @Cabanimation making my heart explode with his incredible gift to me. I want to express my deep and heartfelt gratitude to @earlyishadopter and @0xCelon. Working with them has been the most synergistic experience I've ever had. We balance each other's weaknesses and strengths perfectly. Haven’t done long form content in a minute but I wanted to take a moment to appreciate the founders who have stuck around, no matter what the market conditions are, and are still going strong with their vision. As an investment analyst, I've come to recognize that, despite the presence of incredible technology and market opportunities, the success of a project ultimately hinges on the quality of its founder and team. During bullish conditions, it was easy to see why founders with the largest Twitter following, actively participating in every Space, and responding to every comment were often considered the top founders to keep an eye on. However, when the market turned bearish, the true quality of founders is a lot more apparent. In my opinion the best founders have a clear vision for their project and are adaptable to changes in the market. They're resilient and financially savvy when it comes to managing their projects and making smart decisions for long-term success. Good founders also know the importance of building a strong community. They engage with their users, keep them in the loop, and genuinely care about their feedback. It's all about fostering trust and loyalty among their community. These teams are always learning and improving. They're open to feedback, willing to admit their mistakes, and constantly working on making their project better. Keep a watch on those resilient founders who are still here, pushing forward with their vision. It’s those teams that inspire us as investors to keep deploying into this space.
