story about the quoted tweet.. December '22 my wife wanted us to buy a house, we had enough for a down payment. I told her id rather bet it on solana at the time. it took a bit of convincing, but she supported me.
back then a lotta family + friends kinda pitied us for bein in crypto.
solana was literally the laughing stock of crypto, which was the laughing stock of finance/tech at the time 🤣
I put in the remainder of our cash savings, and then a couple weeks later it dipped 40% again. i thought it was either gonna go to $0 or it had to be the bottom
fast forward to today, my wife is gonna get a better house (and paid in cash)
I was planning to sell $SOL @ $400 but im risking a big drawdown just to get an extra 50% gain.... just doesnt make sense for me when we dont have a house or retirement fund
so im gonna sell earlier than i planned, but im at peace with being an early seller
i dont think the top is in, but i wanna secure our family's future more.

✅FA catalysts: stakenet, re-staking, TVL mooning

some more thoughts on $JTO:
- im betting "majors + memes" barbell strat will lose its edge and some VC/defi coins catch the bid.

- jito is like lido, eigenlayer, and flashbots combined; but its on the best blockchain that is still getting re-priced

here are a few things Ive learned
- noone really knows what they're doing, so take everything with a grain of salt
- your ego can be your worst enemy.. need to have strong beliefs, held loosely
- time is the most scarce resource, time mgmt is boring but where you can get an edge
- everything is a trade-off, think about the risk:reward of new features, hires, and partnerships
- engineers tend to think product > everything, BD guys think partnerships/marketing > everything. answer is in the middle
- your logo, name, and forming your biz entity are unimportant, do it once you have traction
- never burn bridges or talk shit about competitors, it only hurts you in the long run
- answering DMs is much more important than you think
- most meetings should just be DMs
- every interaction with your partners, clients, and co-workers matters. if u treat ppl with respect you receive the same

I grew up in a wealthy neighborhood and most of my peers all had their parents’ credit cards to buy gas, food, clothes etc.
my dad gave me $20/week and in order to get the $$ I had to come home on the weekend and chop firewood, pickup dog shit, etc.… work for less than minimum wage
at the time I remember hating him for it, but now I look back and am so grateful
bc I wanted money to go do stuff, i started finding ways to make money before I could legally work. first thing I did was buy bulk candy and resell it to my peers at middle school, undercutting the campus vendors
In other ways I was “spoiled”- didn’t have to pay for my own college, got a personal trainer for football, got cool christmas gifts, etc.
But I’ve had my own source(s) of income since I was 11 yrs old, has taught me so much that I wouldn’t have learned if I was just given a trust fund and unlimited cash.
