Good Morning dear Web3 family.
If you are grinding from the bottom, with no money, contacts, or easy opportunities, please give this a read.
This is a bit long for some of you, but read it anyway!
I learn a lot at these X spaces with the big whales, game developers and thought leaders.
BUT I also often leave a little discouraged at how some of us have to grind from the bottom of the bottom while some folks just easily have massive venture capital from before they even set up an X account.
It is not jealousy, I celebrate their good fortune with them, it is just the reality of life.
Some folks are born in huts with no opportunities, no contacts, and no way to climb out of their hell.
Some folks (like me) are born into a house with electricity and hot water, which is luxurious in comparison.
Others (like my kids) are born into a life of opportunity, joy, peace, and hope.
Our realities are all different.
You have to look at your situation, accept your reality, and then work harder than anybody else to climb your mountain.
Discouragement must not be left to fester. It must be answered immediately with resolve and hard work.
Not everyone is born with a silver spoon in their mouth. Very few are.
You might not have the contacts, the parents, the friends, or the country that will help you out of your hole.
But what you have is the ability to work hard.
Hope is a handy driver, but so is desperation, anger, vindication, and many other things.
Grab the emotional branch that you see and use it.
Tonight I am tired.
I have been pushing, grinding, working, doing the work of five people by myself for 14 months, often 18 hours a day.
I listen to a space with kids in their 20's who get given million dollars in budget to have fun and build what they want to build.
Honestly, if I could, I would do the same for my kids.
And that is what drives me.
I want to do the same for my community here in Web3, my community around me, and my family.
I let it whip me along relentlessly.
And I encourage you to do the same.
Feeling sorry for yourself is the worst possible investment of your time.
Work through the damned emotions, the feelings of injustice, the constant nagging feeling that you are going to fail.
Grind through it and prove the damned thoughts and feelings wrong.
If you can move forward one millimeter today, whether it is physically towards your goal or just by learning something new, you have had a good day.
So GRIND friend. GRIND!
