There is a lot to unpack here. Many performers and independent production companies have invested a significant amount of money into attending the AVN expo. And most of that money cannot be refunded which means that we stand to suffer a significant financial loss if we donβt go. This is not some 4 day party for us.
Contrary to popular belief, the vast majority of performers and independent producers are not multi-millionaires. Most of us earn what most consider a middle-class income. We are also coming off of the holidays, which is typically extremely slow for independent producers and content creators. Many people simply donβt have the financial means to pull out of a big investment right now. This is something Iβm contending with myself. This is the biggest event of the year and for many, it is bank breaking to pull out of.
AVN cannot change venues. They are contractually locked in to this one. So that leaves us all in the position of making the best choice possible for ourselves and our conscience with all of the facts that we have. None of us like the idea of crossing a picket line. None of us like the idea of losing money we probably canβt easily afford to lose either. So we have to respect each other, no matter what we each decide to do.

Now, Chaturbate must push XBiz to protect its Trans Creators and move XBiz out of Florida.
As we noted in our emails to many of our valued broadcasters who attended the XBIZ Creator Awards and after-party, we want to address the occurrences at the venue which we did not pick. We are very disappointed to hear that some members of the Chaturbate and creator community experienced disrespectful and negative interactions with E11EVEN venue staff members. This is not what we represent, it is not who we are, and weβve made our views clear with XBIZ that we would not support any future events at the venue.
